Mahabba Campaign Part-501

Hunain presented a great victory. The pride of the Hawazin tribe that they can eliminate Prophet ﷺ and his followers, ended. They came like a flood with all their wealth and cattle with a desire to completely destroy the Muslims .But they could not win in the second phase of the fight. They were defeated completely and retreated, abandoning all their possessions. Believers rejoiced in new condition of survival and progress and got ready to return to Makkah with the wealth they received. When they reached Ji’rana got news that the Hawazin and Thaqif tribes have migrated to Twa’if under the leadership of Malik bin Auf.
After storing the wealth obtained in the battle , Prophet ﷺ left for Tawaif in the same month. A thousand fighters were deployed there under the leadership of Khalid. Prophet ﷺ entered Twaif through the Naqla area via Qarnul Manazil and Leyya. Malik had a fort at Leyya. Prophet ﷺ instructed followers to demolish it.
The group with Prophet ﷺ encamped around the fort. Those in the fort were besieged for days. History has differed on how long the besiege was: 18 days, more than Ten, 40 days . Anas is of the opinion that it was 40 days. In the meantime, the Muslims were attacked several times. 12 Muslims were killed and many injured. With that, the military base of the Muslims was moved to a more higher place. It was the place where the masjid of Tawaif situates today. Finally the fort had to be catapulted. With that, cracks occurred in many parts of the fort. With that, a number of Muslim soldiers entered and decided to open fire by sitting under the armored tank. The attempt was thwarted by those in the fort using fire sticks. The Muslim army was forced to take arrows. When the days passed without any result, it was decided to go to the grape crops, which were very dear to the enemy.
They had to come to out when the Muslim fighters moved to the plantations and began to set fire . They requested the Muslims to stop for the sake of Allah and kinship. The Muslim army accepted the request. At that time a proclamation from the prophet ﷺ . It meant that those who came out of the fort peacefully may go safely. So 23 people came out. Abu Bakara was one of them. He was the one who built the walls of the forts of Taif and installed the cisterns to collect water in them. Prophet ﷺ called him by the pseudonym Abu Bakar as the maker of the pulley. He was freed and each of the others was comfortably accommodated under the responsibility of each Muslim. These measures put more pressure on those inside the fort. But they had collected enough grains for a year inside the fort. Therefore, they were not ready to come out and continued to use weapons. The firing of burnt sticks further caused problems ti the Muslim army. Prophet ﷺ got ready to discuss matters with Naufal bin Muawiya Al Dhehli. ‘They are like foxes trapped in a burrow, they can be subdued a little after, or they can be left behind ‘he said. However Prophet ﷺ decided to return.

Mahabba Campaign Part-502

Umar was assigned to announce that Prophet ﷺ would leave Hunain the next day. But this sudden announcement caused difficulties for the believers. Their desire was to return after capturing the fort. Prophet ﷺ knowing their desire allowed to continue the siege . Holy Prophet ﷺ laughed to see his companions going back to the battlefield despite their injuries. When they returned, they prayed. ‘Returning as repentant, bowing down to Allah and glorifying Him’. On the way back someone said: Messenger of Allah, pray against the Thaqif. Prophet ﷺ He : ‘O Allah, guide the people of Thaqif.’ After returning from Twaif, Prophet ﷺ stayed in Ji’rana for ten days without sharing the war-earned wealth. It was in the hope that the Thaqifs would repent and send representatives to their wealth. But no one came. So Prophet ﷺ divided the spoils. He allocated a considerable part of the wealth to pacify the tribal leaders of Makkah. Abu Sufiyan was given a hundred camels and forty silver. he asked: My son Yazid has nothing? He was given the same. Later, when he asked for his son Muawiyah, Prophet ﷺ gave the same amount. Hakim bin Hizam got hundred camels. When he asked again, Prophet ﷺ gave him more.
Three hundred camels were given to Swafwan bin Umayyah in three times. This has been explained in the book “Al Shifa” by Qazi Iyal. Harith bin Al-Harith al-Kinda was given one hundred camels, some Quraish leaders were given one hundred camels and others fifty or forty camels. With that, it was spread among the people that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was doing charity without fear of poverty. So all the rural Arabs rushed to Prophet ﷺ in search of wealth. At last Prophet ﷺ was moved to near a palm tree . Prophet’s ﷺ robe stuck to on the tree, said: ‘ give back my robe’ . By He Who owns my soul ! even if I had as many camels as this thorn in Tihama, I would give it to you in shares. You will not see me as stingy or cowardly or deceitful.’ Then Prophet ﷺ plucked a handful of hair from his camel’s back, held it between his fingers and held it up, declaring: ‘O people, I have only one-fifth of this wealth and these hairs. I leave that fifth to you.’ After distributing this to all those whom Prophet ﷺ wanted to satisfy, called Zaid ibn Harith and ordered him to bring the rest of the wealth and invite the people. Then shares were distributed among the people. Each warrior was given four camels or forty goats. In case of cavalry, twelve camels or one hundred and twenty goats were given.
This was a strategic distribution. But many did not understand its secret at first. They started expressing many opinions. Ibn Ishaq narrates on the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not give any to the Ansars and distributed all the wealth among the Quraish and the Arab tribes, it became difficult for the Ansars and they shared it among themselves. Some said: Messengers of Allah considered his people! Immediately Sa’ad bin Ubada approached Holy Prophet ﷺ and said: Oh Messenger of Allah, the stance you have taken in distributing this wealth has caused difficulties for the Ansars. You did not give anything to them and gave abundantly to the people of Makkah. Beloved Prophet ﷺ asked: Sa’ad, what is your position? O Messenger of Allah, I am with my people. Then ask them all to come here. Sa’ad assembled all the Ansars. Some of the Muhajirs were also given entry. No one else was allowed to enter. When everyone gathered, Sa’ad informed Holy Prophet ﷺ. Thanking and praising Allah, Prophet ﷺ began to preach .

Mahabba Campaign Part-503

Prophet ﷺ began to speak. “Oh Ansars ! I know that you are displeased with the distribution of the wealth . Were you not completely astray when I came to you? Was it not through me that Allah guided you? Did not Allah make you rich who were poor? Has Allah united you mentally through me who were enemies to each other? ‘Yes, Allah and His Messenger are Most Merciful,’ they said. Prophet ﷺ continued: O Ansars, may I ask one more thing?. Oh Messenger of Allah, ask what you wish, we will answer you. All mercy and beneficence belong to Allah and His Messenger. ‘Perhaps, you may say: ‘We believed in you when you came to us, rejected. When you came to us feeling neglected and rejected, we helped you, sheltered you and protected you. If this is your answer then it is correct and completely true. Oh Ansars! Is it your complaint that I have given a few resources to attract and strengthen a group of people to Islam! ?. Are you not the ones who have accepted faith without any material help ? O Ansars ! ‘Are you satisfied that you go back with the messenger of Allah while the people go with their flocks? Verily He is the One in whose possession is the soul of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, had it not been for Hijra, I would have been one of the Ansars.
If the people go one way and the Answars go another way, I will be with the Answars. O Allah, have mercy on the Answar. Have mercy on their descendants, their sons and grandsons.” After hearing this, they all burst into tears. Tears streamed down their cheeks. One of them said: Messenger of Allah, we have satisfied ourselves with our share: with that they all parted. After the distribution of all the wealth, fourteen people came to Prophet ﷺ as representatives of Hawazin tribe as Muslims. The leader of this group was Suhair bin Swarad. Abu Burkan, the maternal uncle of the Prophet ﷺ, was also present in the group. They accepted Islam and entered into a covenant of obedience with Prophet ﷺ. They demanded Prophet ﷺ: Messenger of Allah, among those whom you have taken captive mothers, sisters, uncles and aunts. That’s a shame. Then he recited some lines of poetry, O Messenger of God! We hope for your bounties to be poured out on us, We want it from you, Even if you shower your bounties on breastfeeding mothers, Had your mouth filled with breast milk for a while’. Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Everything you see with me. I prefer to tell the truth. Do you love your women and children?
Or your wealth? ‘We see nothing equal to family ties.’ They replied. Then after the midday prayer you stand up and tell the people. “We appeal to the Muslims in the name of the Messenger of Allah and to the Messenger of Allah in the name of the Muslims to return our women and children”. After the mid-day prayer, they said: Then the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘What belongs to me and the progeny of Abdul Mutalib belongs to you. I will ask the people for you.’ Then the Muhajirs and the Ansars said: ‘All that we have belongs to the Messenger of Allah. Immediately Aqrau ibn Habis stood up and said: Neither I nor the Tamim will return it. Then Uyaina bin Hisan said: ‘Neither I nor the Fazars will return.’ After this, Abbas ibn Mirdas said: Banu Sulaim and I will not return. Hearing this, Banu Sulaim said. ‘What we have, belongs to the Messenger of Allah’. Then Abbasbin Mirdas said: You have made me helpless. Then the Messenger said: These are the ones who came to us as Muslims. I had lodged their prisoners without releasing them. Now when I allowed them to choose between prisoners or wealth, they chose family ties.
So if anyone has their relatives, those who are willing to return to the way of Allah should give it. Those who insist on having their rights for themselves, yet they give it back, first of all, I will give them six times more from the wealth of war that comes to us. Then all the people said: We are all satisfied

Mahabba Campaign Part-504

The victory of Makkah, Hunain and Twaif blessed the believers with great energy . They returned to Madinah bearing victory flag . These victories became the talk of the whole world. Those who like Islam and Truth were excited. The thought of the forces of darkness and iniquity how to destroy Islam, increased.
The eventful survival and influence achieved in eight years was astounding even to the powers of the world. It had no small effect on the then world power, Rome. So Rome prepared for a military deployment along with the Christians of Arabia. Prophet ﷺ had conquered the lands that were completely under Rome or situated as a colony of Rome. The notion of Rome that it is the greatest power in the world and that no one can defeat them, made them arrogant. It became their dream to use other available military alliances to defeat Prophet ﷺ and Medina.
Soon after the information received, Prophet ﷺ realized that it was high time to defend . Otherwise the established power would suffer a great blow. The propagators of Islam were to reach everywhere to show the people everywhere in the world the way of eternal salvation and victory in both worlds. Prophet ﷺ achieved it through friendly conversations, ideal interaction and exemplary approach. But it is those who could not face ideologically, resorted to confront Prophet ﷺ militarily. It became necessary for Prophet’s ﷺ mission to defend them and protect the truth. It was executed beautifully at every step. Holy Prophet ﷺ was accompanied by a group of volunteers who were ready to sacrifice anything for the establishment of the truth. They organized only for the interests of Allah and His Messenger beyond selfish interests.
Prophet ﷺ was forced to face the Roman army at Tabuk, 778 km away from Madina. The whole of this region, which was part of Syria, was under Roman rule.
Days of constant travel, survaival and toil. People who came to Madinah with bare hands, prepared to live a life of comfort. Unfavorable weather, extreme heat, water scarcity and resource scarcity. In short, the whole situation was unfavorable for the people.. It was difficult for people to leave their crops because it was the time of harvesting.
Despite all these difficulties and crises, a move against Rome intended by Prophet ﷺ was necessary for the survival of the Muslim community and the social structure built by Islam. Holy Prophet ﷺ shared these facts with his companions. They discussed with Holy Prophet ﷺ about the necessary military movement to Tabuk. Discussions arose to raise the necessary resources and funds for this long and costly journey.

Mahabba Campaign Part-505

Prophet ﷺ addressed his followers. Shared the importance of spending in the way of Allah. The greatness of helping at that critical condition is explained. All followers took over this challenge enthusiastically. Uthman bin Affan was the first to come forward enthusiastically. Abdu Rahman bin Hubab says. ‘I was in the audience where Prophet ﷺ spoke with the aim of raising fund for Tabuk expedition . When Prophet ﷺ demanded help from his followers, Uthman jumped up and offered 100 camels with necessary things. When Prophet ﷺ asked again, Uthman assured that he would give 200 camels also with their equipments. When further requested, 300 camels were also offered. This made Holy Prophet ﷺ very happy. Prophet ﷺ came down from the pulpit and prayed for Uthman and added. “Uthman, even if you don’t do any more deeds, you will be successful.” Abdu Rahman bin Samura says. ‘When Prophet ﷺ was preparing to leave for Tabuk, Uthman approached Prophet ﷺ with a thousand dinars wrapped in a cloth and handed it over to Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ repeatedly said that even if Uthman did not do any more deed, there will be no difficulty for Uthman.
Abu Bakar and Umar contributed to the cause of war enthusiastically. Umar came to donate half of his wealth, thinking to overtake Abu Bakar. Umar himself says. ‘I submitted my property to Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ asked me what was left in the house. I said half of my property has been submitted here’. After a while, Abu Bakar came with donation. After handing it over to Prophet ﷺ, Prophet ﷺ asked Abu Bakar: ‘How much is left there’? He said. ‘I submit all my property before you. I see Allah and His Rasool for my family and others’. Oh Abu Bakar! we will never be able to overcome you. Umar said. This spirit shown by the followers to please and satisfy Messenger of Allah with no motive of profit, is unique in history. It cannot be seen anywhere else. Abdu Rahman bin Auf spent half of his wealth in the way of Allah. Abbas bin Abdil Mutalib, Twalha bin Ubaidillah, Muhammad bin Maslama and Asim bin Adiyy were also high contributors to Tabuk.
It was Holy Prophet ﷺ who taught the lessons that wealth in the hands of men is for building society and nation, for providing support to the helpless. It is Prophet ﷺ who taught that there is great joy in the disposal of wealth. Its reflection is the charity that is still going on in this community. Take a look at the meaning of the 41st verse of Al-Tauba chapter of the Holy Qur’an: ” Go forth light and heavy, and strive hard in Allah’s way with your property and persons; this is better for you, if you know”.
Taking this message in to account, the followers of Prophet ﷺ came to the battlefield. They spen their wealth. sacrificed their bodies.

Mahabba Campaign Part-506

The believers enthusiastically accepted Prophet’s ﷺ call. The rich did their best to help. The poor also contributed as much as they could. Meanwhile, the hypocrites resorted to their style. They kept saying that the donations of the rich are for getting fame and Allah does not need the small contributions of the poor. Abu Aqeel donated half a Swau or less than two kilos of dates . Many others contributed as well.
The hypocrites said: ‘The Creator does not need any of this. This is how Allah mentioned about their intervention. The idea of the 79th verse of Al-Tawba chapter can be read as follows: “They who taunt those of the faithful who give their alms freely, and those who give to the extent of their earning and scoff at them Allah will pay them back their scoffing, and they shall have a painful chastisement.”
They mocked at the contribution of Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Auf: that he donated for getting fame . They belittled the contributions of other poor people too. Actually the believers were in great pain . They wished if they had wealth to spend in the way of Allah. Salamath bin Zaid was one of them. He prayed standing up at night crying. O Allah, you have commanded us to fight . We were more interested in it. But I have nothing to spend for that purpose . I am ready to spend for the believers according to the number of my sins. When Prophet ﷺ came to know this, said to him: ‘Allah has forgiven your sins’.
This is a good example of what was the attitude of the Prophet’s ﷺ to followers in such situations. They were ready to surrender everything to Almighty Allah and His Messenger.
Wasilath bin Asqau asked. ‘Is there any one to take me in a vehicle to Tabuk . I will give them whatever I get after the war’. Then someone was ready to take him . After the war, wasilath got some camels. He presented it to the person who brought him to tabuk . But the man refused to accept it and said: ‘We have not come expecting a share from you. We helped you with a desire for a share from the reward of Allah .” They replied. Here both groups worked for spiritual rewards. They did not go to war for mere material interests.
The Ash’ari people volunteered to leave for Tabuk under the leadership of Abu Musa al-Ash’ari. But they did not have enough vehicles. After waiting for a long time, they also set out on the three camels they had received.
During the battle of Tabuk there were believers who were mentally prepared to travel. Their minds and thoughts invited them to the battlefield, but their health did not permit them. Allah accepted the greatness of their interest and intention. The verses of the Holy Qur’an were revealed comforting them. Verses 91 and 92 of the Tauba chapter contain this idea. It reads like this: ” It shall be no crime in the weak ,nor in the sick, nor those who do not find what they should spend, so long as they are sincere to Allah and His Apostle; there is no way (to blame) against the doers of good; and Allah is Forgiving ,Merciful; Nor in those who when they came to you that you might carry them, you said: I cannot find that on which to carry you; they went back while their eyes overflowed with tears on account of grief for not finding that which they should spend”.

Mahabba Campaign Part-507

Prophet ﷺ adopted some different methods in the Tabuk expedition, different from all other military movements. In none of the previous military movements Prophet ﷺ shared the way, the destination or the information about the enemy to be faced. But in the Tabuk movement it was quite different. Everything was clearly stated in advance: where they were going, whom they were targeting and how long the struggle should continue. Historians have studied why such an approach was adopted. Some of the reasons found can be read as follows.
I. Distance of the journey:
Unlike all previous military operations, it had to travel a long distance to Tabuk. If such a trip were unannounced, it would not be possible to carry the necessary provisions or to keep health condition. Each had to arrange a suitable vehicle and adequate materials .
Second: the military power of Rome.
In this move, a larger group had to be faced, unlike any enemy that had been faced before. It was necessary for every Muslim soldier to have an idea about the military strength of Rome. Necessary preparations were to be made to face a powerful group both militarily and in the armed system.
Three: Weather .
It was necessary to have an understanding of the weather conditions on the routes to be passed. Some precautions were necessary if one had to travel through adverse weather conditions.
Four:
The area of Arabia and nearby regions are in a completely favorable situation. But the Muslim community had to be informed from where the enemies were observing . The companions had an idea of the political conditions that had developed in the surrounding areas at the time of the earlier military movements. But it was necessary to inform the companions about Rome in the far distance. Each time the diplomatic approaches of the Prophet ﷺ was excellant. Each of them may be followed in this new era. This reminds us that there are journeys that should be shared to the companions and that should not be shared. Holy Prophet ﷺ informed about this expedition that more troops and more preparations were needed. Prophet ﷺ offered Heaven for those who help in this difficult battle or “Jayshul Usra”. This caused people to join the military group enthusiastically. Tabuk expedition was of great importance as a military move necessary to spread the Holy Word of Allah.
Those who are unable to help physically or financially, but become a part of this military movement mentally, will be rewarded with heaven. It was necessary to establish the sense of necessity of such a move among the people participating in the military operations as well as those in the country. When a country goes to war, it is essential for the military as well as the civilians to be a part. Only then all the citizens stand with the nation and the ruler. Through such movements Prophet ﷺ taught us a number of such lessons .

Mahabba Campaign Part-508

Abudar al-Ghifari marked a vivid picture of the journey to Tabuk. It is an interesting scene when reading the history of the Tabuk military movement.
As Prophet ﷺ and his followers were traveling to Tabuk, discussions arose about many who did not join the journey. Some thought of leaving after the harvest. While others were in thought of leaving today or tomorrow. When some people informed Prophet ﷺ about such people, Prophet ﷺ said : ‘If Allah intends good for them, they will join us. If they do not come, nothing can happen except that we will be safe from them’ .
Abu Dar al-Ghifari set out to join Prophet’s ﷺ group. But his vehicle was tired. It could not travel fast or join Prophet ﷺ in time. Finally he had to walk for a long time with all his belongings on the vehicle.
After Prophet and his followers camped, they looked back the way they had come. A man was seen coming from a distance. Followers discussed as to who it will be. Prophet ﷺ said quickly: “May you be Abu Dar”. Not too late when he reached near, the Companions said to Prophet ﷺ that It was Abu Dar himself. Then Prophet’s ﷺ response was as follows. “May Allah have mercy on him. Traveling alone. Tomorrow he will die in a lonely place and he will come alone for resurrection . Saying this, Prophet ﷺ received him cordially. Abu Dar Joined by other followers. He memorized the prayer words of Prophet ﷺ. Years passed. Beloved Prophet ﷺ left this world. Abu Bakar became the Caliph. His reign also ended. Then Umar’s time also passed. Now Uthman is the ruler. The political situation in Mecca and Medina changed. Abu Dar moved to the wild desert. The name of that region is Rabda. The area is 170 km from Madinah. (The writer had an opportunity to visit there). Even today that place It is still a wild desert .
Abudar fell ill during his stay in Rabda. And there was only wife and a maid. He remembered the warning of the prophet ﷺ . He realized that his demise would be in this lonely desert. He spoke thus to his wife and attendant. “”If I die, I should be bathed. Wrap it in the cloth. Then you have to wait by the side of the road. Then inform the first traveling party that comes through that way. They will do as they should. After completing all the duties, you should send them off serving them food slaughtering this goat. The wife and the maid listened to it with a sigh.
Abu Dar left this world. The family members performed all as his will . Just then a caravan comes in. Informed them that, that wass the body of Abu Dar. Ibn Mas’ud was also in the traveling party to Kufa. Among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, Abdullah ibn Masu’d was prominent. He was surprised to hear that it was Abu Dar’s body. He remembered the warnings of Prophet ﷺ . When he saw Abu Dar’s holy body, he started crying.

Mahabba Campaign Part-509

Ibn Mas’ud took out the shroud that was kept with him. The group performed the posthumous rites of Abu Dar Al Ghifari and returned to Madinah with his family. Uthman bin Affan was the caliph at that time. The family was warmly received by the Caliph and arranged necessary facilities for them.
The dawning of prophet’s ﷺ prophecies, is evident in the case of Abudar al-Ghifari, as we have read in many cases. The are the testimonies of the Companions who witnessed the events .
Let’s move on to another chapter that has many messages connected with the incident of Tabuk. The hero of this atory is a Companion named Abu Khathama. After Prophet ﷺ left for Tabuk, he came home. A very hot day. The atmosphere is boiling. It is difficult for people to go out and travel. But when he came to his garden, the surroundings were very beautiful. Very cold water. Tents pitched in tree shade. Wives prepared a sumptuous meal and wait. He said when he saw this coolness and shade. Holy Prophet ﷺ is traveling through scorching sand. Traveling through the boiling desert sand to Tabuk. So how can I stay here enjoying this shade and coolness. How can I live here in peace? No I’m leaving. He told his family. I cannot have peace without reaching Holy Prophet ﷺ. I’m going. He approached his vehicle.
Wives arranged the vehicle for the journey. He started his journey in search of the route taken by Holy Prophet ﷺ. Where can I meet the Prophet ﷺ? Thinking like that, he quickly moved forward. On the way he met Umayr bin Wahab al-Jumahi. He too was traveling to join Prophet ﷺ. Both continued their journey as friends and joined Prophet ﷺ at Tabuk. A traveler from afar was seen coming . The Companions said to Prophet ﷺ. Someone is coming from there. Prophet ﷺ looked at the man in the distance and said. “Let it be Abu Qaithama”. After a while the followers shouted excitedly. It is Abu Khaithama himself. By that time he reached the Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ received him happily. Abu Khaithama’s real name was Malik Binu Qais.
The reception of Prophet ﷺ greatly affected him. He was happy to avoid comforts and join Prophet ﷺ. He was relieved that his decision was good. Then he sang like this.
Lamma Raytunnasa Fi dini Nafakhoo….
“When some of the people became hypocrites
I reached near Holy Prophet ﷺ
I caught the hands and became a member
Then I made no mistakes after joining Prophet ﷺ-
I came leaving the shade and the cold.
Very pleased to join Prophet ﷺ”
This incident conveys to us the reawakening of a believer. This story also tells us how deeply the love for Holy Prophet ﷺ influenced them. History records the incident of Abu Khaithama as the concept of the 21st verse of the Al-A’raf chapter of the Holy Qur’an. The content of the above verse may be read as follows: “When any mischief from the devil afflicts the pious, they soon become aware of it. Then they become full of insight.”

Mahabba Campaign Part-510

On his way to Tabuk, Prophet ﷺ landed among the debris of the tribe of Thamud. The call to prayer was sounded. The Companions moved to the old settlements of the tribe of Thamud. Then Holy Prophet ﷺ asked. “Are you going to the abodes of those on whom the wrath of Allah has descended.? Prophet ﷺ did not like to stay there for long. Instructed followers to pour out the collected water from there. Prophet ﷺ made his followers aware of the depravity of a people who violated the commandments of Allah and did not follow the laws. Taught his followers that such places through which to pass quickly with sorrow.
Holy Prophet ﷺ reminded his followers that memories of the past events are for learning lessons to brighten one’s life.
Abdullahi dul Bijadain is another name that is remembered in the memories of Tabuk. Abdullah ibn Masu’d says. ‘I was with Prophet ﷺ during Tabuk. I woke up suddenly in the night and behold a light from the side of the army. When I reached there, there were Holy Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakar and Umar . I was informed that the companion named Abdullah ibn Dul Bijadain has passed away. A grave was prepared to entomb him. Prophet ﷺ instructed to bring him near and thensaid this: ” Oh Allah I am pleased with him and You also please him”. Ibn Mas’uod said. ‘When I felt the affection shown to him by Holy Prophet ﷺ and the prayer performed for him, I wished that I had been at his place and that my body had been placed in that grave.
When he embraced Islam, people beat him and tortured him. Finally he was left with only one piece of clothing. He came to Holy Prophet ﷺ traveling speedily. The clothes he was wearing were torn into two parts. It was in this context that he got the name Dhul Bijadain, meaning the man of two-piece cloth.
The life of Abdullah Dil Bijadain is a convincing example of how early the believers embraced Islam and what they sacrificed for Islam.
This incident teaches us the mercy and love that Holy Prophet ﷺ had for the poor and the holy believers. The greatest gift one could get from Holy Prophet ﷺ was to get his affection and prayer.
His funeral took place at night. It means that there is no objection to bury one at night.
Every intervention and action of Prophet’s ﷺ life was for the establishment of a system. Holy Prophet ﷺ did not just pass on through writing how to lead a rightful and practical life . Rather, it was taught by applying it to real-life situations. Prophetic behavior or Sunnah is completed only when all of Prophet’s ﷺ words, deeds and permissions were followed. Allah appointed his messengers to exemplify the ways of life that required for human beings. Prophet ﷺ is a unique role model for all .

Mahabba Campaign Part-511

As in many other occasions, many supernatural events took place during Tabuk expedition . The people were in dire need of water as they pass through the ruins of the Thamud tribe. When they could not find any way, everyone approached Prophet ﷺ directly. Prophet ﷺ performed a special dua for rain. Soon it rained well and the problem of the scarcity of water ended.
Another incident goes like this. On the way to Tabuk Prophet’s ﷺ camel disappeared. The companions traveled many ways in search of the camel. At that time there was a companion named Umarath bin Hasm with Prophet ﷺ. He was a Companion who participated in the treaty and Badr. Zaid bin Laseet then raised a doubt. He was a man who pretended to be a believer and concealed unbelief.
His question was: Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) proclaims prophethood and claims to receive messages from Allah. Why does he not know where his own camel is?
Prophet ﷺ knew this matter without anyone else informing him . He immediately spoke to his followers: ‘A man asks , “Why can’t I find my camel despite receiving divine message ?” “By Allah, I speak according to the message from Allah. I share with you what He informs me. The camel is got stuck in a tree in the certain Valley”. The companions went that way and the camel was found there. Prophet ﷺ said. Seeing this Umarat bin Hasm returned to the tent. He explained that Prophet ﷺ knew what the hypocrites had said and the camel was found where Prophet ﷺ informed without anyone telling him. The companions kicked out Laseet who still denied the truth.
There are many incidents in Prophet’s ﷺ life where many matters were foretold.
Prophet ﷺ also warned about the storm that was about to blow. As per Prophet’s ﷺ warning, people secured their belongings. All cattles were tied up. Just like Prophet’s ﷺ warning, there was a strong storm.
Muad bin Jabal narrates. Then Prophet ﷺ said. ‘Tomorrow morning you will reach near a stream in Tabuk. But do not approach the water until it dawns. And do not use that water until I come. As Prophet ﷺ said, we reached the Tabuk stream at morning. We all stood waiting for Prophet’s ﷺ arrival. But two men stepped into the water as soon as they saw the water. There was only a narrow stream then. As soon as Prophet ﷺ arrived, he asked, “Have you both touched this water?” They said, ‘yes’. Prophet ﷺ admonished them. After taking water Prophet ﷺ washed his face and hands. Then the water was poured into the stream itself. Soon the stream began to overflow.

Mahabba Campaign Part-512

After drinking water from the streams of Tabuk, Prophet ﷺ called Mu’adh.”O Mu’adh, if Allah grants you long life, you will see gardens, orchards, streams, and vegetation here”. Tabuk, which had been dry, was later changed to be green . Even today the area continues in that green beauty.
Let us go to the narration of Abu Saeed Al Khudri. During the battle of Tabuk, the people were starving. There was not enough food. Finally, they thought of slaughtering the camels they had. When some Companions asked Prophet ﷺ, he agreed. When Umar got the information, he approached Prophet ﷺ and said. ‘O Prophet ﷺ… If we slaughter camels to satiate our hunger, then we will not have enough vehicles to travel. So you may pray for blessings in our food’. Immediately Holy Prophet ﷺ told each of them to bring whatever food was left. Holy Prophet ﷺ then gathered all that was got and prayed for blessing. All were instructed to eat and keep in utensils. Even after eating enough and collecting in bowls, the food that was brought first was left in the utensil as before. Then Prophet ﷺ recited the ‘Shahada’ and said: ‘A person who sincerely understands that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, will not be prevented from entering the Paradise after death’.
The increase in food and drink due to the prayers and blessings of the prophet ﷺ is an important chapter in the eventful history of the prophethood. There are persons who interpret and distort prophethood and holy life through absolute logic and reasoning. They do not know the value of religion, the importance of prophethood and the reality of divine messages.
During the Holy Prophet’s ﷺ Tabuk campaign, the hypocrites used many tricks. They looked for many ways to spread disbelief about the prophet ﷺ and question the identity of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. There were around ten people in that group. They raised various accusations. The Holy Prophet ﷺ knew all these matters according to information from Allah. Calling them, Prophet ﷺ asked. ‘What are you doing? Denying the messenger of Allah and criticizing his actions’? But they denied : We have not said anything. Referring to this occasion, revealed the 74th verse of the chapter, Al Thouba . The idea is as follows: “They swear in the name of Allah that they did not say so. But surely they uttered the word of disbelief. After accepting Islam, they became disbelievers and they had determined upon what they have not been able to effect, and they did not find fault except because Allah and His Apostle enriched them out of His grace; therefore if they repent, it will be good for them; and if they turn back, Allah will chastise them with a painful chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall not have in the land any gurdian or helper”.

Mahabba Campaign Part-513

A much-read story along with the Battle of Tabuk, is that of Ka’abu Binu Malik. It is also the story of three people who did not set out with Prophet ﷺ in the Tabuk movement.
Those who did not go to Tabuk with the Prophet ﷺ were of three groups.

One. Hypocrites: These were the majority of the three. They did not go out to wage war and showed treachery. After the end of the war, they came back to Prophet ﷺ and escaped for the time being by telling lame excuses. See what Allah has said about them in the Holy Qur’an, Chapter Nine, Verse 101:
“There are hypocrites among the Arabs around you and among the people of Madinah. They are hardened in hypocrisy. You do not know them. We know them. We will punish them twice and then they will be pushed to a great punishment.”
Two: Those who did not go because of laziness, but later admitted their guilt and regretted, requested forgiveness from Prophet ﷺ and donated their wealth. Commentators of the Qur’an like Ibn Jarir state that they are Abu Lubaba Al Ansari and some of his companions. This is what Allah has said about them in verse 102.
“There are others who have confessed their crimes. They have mixed good deeds with other bad deeds. May Allah accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”.
Three: These are the ones who refrained from going because of hesitation and laziness and later admitted their guilt and regretted , but did not come to Prophet ﷺ and apologize or ask for prayer. They are Ka’ab Ibn Malik (R), Mararat Ibn Rabi’ (R) and Hilalubn Umayyah (R). The war ended. Prophet ﷺ came back. They told only truth without trying to escape by telling lies or lame excuses. Allah has said about them in verse 106 as follows.
“There are others whose decision has been deferred until they receive the command of Allah. Either He will punish them. Or their repentance will be accepted. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise”.
In the case of these three, it is not mentioned in this verse that their Taubah or repentance will be accepted or not. Prophet ﷺ kept them away until there was a decision from Allah regarding them. Muslims were also given instruction not to have any social relations with them until the judgment of Allah. Non-cooperation and prohibition was announced against them. All the people boycotted them. Ka’ab Ibn Malik (R) and the other two Companions had a mental conflict and exclusion that had not until then.
Those Companions who remained honest despite incomparable hardships and mental stress returned to Allah in repentance. Allah says this in Chapter 9, Verse 118, about their mental distress that they spent weeks with weeping eyes: “And to the three who were left behind, until the earth became strait to them notwithstanding it’s spaciousness and their souls were also straitened to them; and they knew for it certain that there was no refuge from Allah but in Him”.
After forty days, the Qur’an was revealed and their repentance was accepted. In addition to what the Holy Qur’an declares that Allah has forgiven the believers, including the Muhajirs and Ansars, who accompanied Prophet ﷺ in the Tabuk campaign, it has also said about these three companions. Look at the idea of the verses 117 and 118.
“Allah has forgiven Prophet and the Muhajirs and the Ansars who followed Prophet in the time of trouble. Although the minds of a group of them were somewhat shaken! Later, Allah forgave them. Indeed, Allah is Most Gracious and Most Merciful to them”.
“Allah has forgiven to the three people who were left behind”.

Mahabba Campaign Part-514

Imam Bukhari narrates a long explanation of the incident of Ka’ab bin Malik. His son Abdullah says. He was the one who guided his father after he lost his sight. Ka’abu says: ‘I hadn’t lost any other battle with Prophet ﷺ except the battle of Tabuk. There was no opportunity to participate in Badr. There was no complaint about those who did not participate in it. Because Prophet ﷺ set out that day without any preparation, only with the intention of the Quraish trading group. I was also present on the night of the Treaty of Al-Aqaba when we accepted Islam and made the agreement. Although the battle of Badr is more famous among the people, I do not like to give the status of Aqaba to Badr. This is how I kept away from Tabuk: I was more capable and comfortable than before. When Prophet ﷺ went on expeditions, he usually did not specify the destination. But this time he had already informed the Muslims of the purpose of the journey – to make the necessary preparations – because the journey was to face a huge army that too in summer. There were many Muslims with Prophet ﷺ at that time. But there was no system of recording the list of soldiers then. Therefore, those who wanted to stay away from the war would not have been identified easily unless Prophet ﷺ had been informed through special revelation. The departure of Prophet ﷺ was at a time of great prosperity.
However, Prophet ﷺ and the Muslims made preparations. I was in doubt whether to go not. Prophet ﷺ along with companions started the journey. Even then I wanted to get into the vehicle and leave. What a pity ! If only it did! But it was not destined to me ! After the departure of Prophet ﷺ, when I came out, I could not see either people who were accused of hypocrisy, or weak people whom Allah excused. Prophet ﷺ did not remember me until he reached Tabuk. Prophet ﷺ inquired: “What about Ka’ab”? A man from the Banusalama tribe said, “His comforts are holding him back.” Then Mu’ad bin Jabal (R) said: “What he said was false. We do not know anything but good about him.’ Prophet ﷺ remained silent. At that time, a man clothed in white was seen coming from afar. Prophet ﷺ said, ‘It must be Abu Khaithama.’ It was Abu Khaithama (R) who heard the mockery of the hypocrites, as he contributed a swa’u of dates.
Ka’ab (R) continues: “When I heard that Prophet ﷺ was returning from Tabuk, I became sad. How can I escape from the wrath of Prophet ﷺ? To whom I should seek help ? I thought about that. Iwas thinking of ways to escape. When I heard that Prophet ﷺ had arrived, all that evil thought went away from me. I was convinced that nothing could save me. I decided to confess the truth. Prophet ﷺ arrived at the morning. When Prophet ﷺ usually comes back from a journey, he first goes to the masjid and perform two rak’ahs and then sits down to meet people. Those who had stayed away from the battle approached Prophet ﷺ and made excuses by swearing. There were more than eighty of them. Considering their outward statements, Prophet ﷺ sought forgiveness for them and their secret to Allah. So, I went and said Salaam. Then, Prophet ﷺ said to me, “Come” with a smile like a person who has suppressed his anger. I slowly moved closer. “Why didn’t you come to Tabuk ? Didn’t you buy the vehicle” ? The Prophet ﷺ asked. I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I were to sit with any other person in the world, I would be able to avoid his anger by making some excuse.I can also argue well. But by Allah! Today, if I tell you a lie and escape, Allah may punish me. If I tell the truth, you will be angry with me . So I am waiting for a good decision from Allah. By Allah! I had no interruptions. It has never been more capable and convenient than it was at that time. Then Prophet ﷺ said: “What he said is true. You go and Allah will decide about you.’

Mahabba Campaign Part-515

Ka’ab (R) continues: ‘ Prophet ﷺ forbade others to talk to us. People’s attitude towards us changed. This land seemed strange to me. Those two people who were my companions sat at home crying. We spent fifty days like that. I was younger and stronger than them. So I used to attend the masjid and walk through the bazaar. No one would talk to me. I would say Salam to Prophet ﷺ. I doubt whether he replied or not. I will perform prayer near Prophet ﷺ and look towards Prophet ﷺ. When I look, Prophet ﷺ would turn his face from me. He will look at me when I turn to prayer. When non-cooperation of the Muslims increased, I went to my paternal uncles’s son and close friend, Abu Qutadah. I greeted him. By Allah ! He did not return the salam. I asked him : Do you know that I love Allah and His Messenger? He did not speak. I begged again and again. He said: “Allah and the Messenger know.” My eyes filled with tears. I climbed the wall and went back.
Then I heard a Nabti, or farmer, who had come to Madinah to sell grain, inquiring about Ka’ab ibn Malik. People pointed at me. He gave me a letter from the king of Gazan: The content was: ‘Knowing that your leader, (the king meant Prophet ﷺ), has neglected you . This land is not a land of humiliation . You come here. We will give you the help you need.’ I said to myself that this is also an ordeal and I threw the note in the oven. Even after forty days out of fifty, there was no revelation . At that time, a messenger of Prophet ﷺ came and asked me to stay away from my wife! I asked if I should divorce her . He replied, “No, but you should keep away from your wife and not touch her until a decision is made in your case.” The other two were also warned. I asked my wife to go to her house.’

Ka’ab (R) says: The wife of Hilalu bin Umayya approached Prophet ﷺ and requested: ‘O Messenger, Hilalu bin Umayyah is an old man. He has no servants. Is there any problem if I serve him?’ Prophet ﷺ said: ‘No’. ‘But he should not touch you.’ The woman said; ‘No’. He has no such feelings’.His crying has not stopped yet’. On hearing this, some of my family members advised me to seek the permission of Prophet ﷺ regarding my wife. I said: ‘I will not ask . As a young man, I am not sure what Prophet ﷺ will tell me.’ And so, ten more days passed. Fifty days have already passed since the conversation with us was cut off. In the morning of the fiftieth day, I was sitting on the top of the house after the Subah prayer. Even though the earth is wide as Allah said, it is getting narrow for me.

Then someone calls out from the top of the Mount Sal’u : ‘Oh Ka’ab bin Malik! Rejoice!’ I prostrated to Allah . I realized that there is a solution. After the Fajr prayer, Prophet ﷺ announced to the people that Allah has accepted our Tawbah or repentance. People kept coming to congratulate us. People went to my two friends also. One man came mounting on a horse and another came running towards me. But the first tidings reached me was the sound I heard from the Sal’u mountain. So I presented my two clothes to the man who made announcement from the mountain.
In fact, I had no clothes other than those two clothes. Then I borrowed two clothes and went to Prophet ﷺ. People came in droves to congratulate me .

Mahabba Campaign Part-516

Ka’ab (R) continues. When I reached masjid, Prophet ﷺ was sitting there . There are people all around. Talhat bin Ubaydillah (R) came running and and congratulated me. No one else among the Muhajirs came forward like that.. When I greeted Prophet ﷺ, the face of Prophet ﷺ was shining with joy. He said: ‘Be happy about the best day since your mother gave birth to you!’ I asked: ‘From you or from Allah?’ Prophet ﷺ said; ‘It is from Allah.’ We have learned that when Prophet ﷺ was happy, his face would become as bright as the moon. So, I sat down and I said: ‘Messenger of Allah, I intend to donate all my wealth to Allah and His Messenger in gratitude for accepting my tawbah.’ Then Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Keep some wealth for yourself. That is good for you.’ I said: `I will keep my share from Khaiber. It is also part of my tawbah that I will not lie to anyone as long as I live.’

‘After I told Prophet ﷺ that truth, I do not know anyone who has been tested and succeeded like me. After that I have never lied to anyone intentionally till date. I hope that Allah will protect me. Thus, Allah revealed one hundred and seventeenth and one hundred and eighteenth verses of the At-Tauba chapter.
Ka’ab (R) says: I swear by Allah! After Allah guided me to Islam, the greatest blessing I received was that I was saved without telling lie. When the revelation came, Allah spoke very harshly about those who lied. Verses 95-96 contain those ideas. The three of us whose matter was put aside from the group When Prophet ﷺ sought forgiveness for them accepting their request. On behalf of the three who were left alone in their matter…The intention is not those who stayed behind without going to war. It means those whose matter has been put aside apart from those who have sworn and made excuses.
Here ends the idea of the hadith narrated by Bukhari.
This incident teaches many lessons . The principles put forward by Holy Prophet’s ﷺ could form a mindset that gave importance to Allah and His Messenger over all material interests. It was the faith that sought Allah’s satisfaction beyond all the prohibitions. This incident exhorts us that spirituality and religious ideas should not be lost while the material environment develops and the living conditions improve. The devil will continue to try to exploit the emotional stages of life, so he who can exercise self-control will win forever. That is what the invitation and the message that came to Ka’ab while he was under trial teach us. Then he was fortunate enough to take the most suitable stance. At any time there will be demonic forces to exploit weaknesses. At all times we should be able to behave with prudence.

Mahabba Campaign Part-517

There are many interesting sub-chapters to read in the history of Tabuk. Imam Ibn Sa’ad narrates through an acceptable chain of narration. Mughira bin Shu’uba says. “We were with Holy Prophet ﷺ between Hijr and Tabuk. Prophet ﷺ went to relieve himself at a time close to Subah prayer. I followed him with water for cleansing . Prophet ﷺ used to go far away from the people. So a little time went by. The Companions waited for the arrival of Prophet ﷺ. But when they feared that Subah time would end, they assigned Abdu Rhman bin Auf as Imam. Others lined up behind him and started praying. I was with Prophet ﷺ. When Prophet ﷺ returned after relieving, I poured the water for ablution. The sleeve of the shirt Prophet ﷺ wearing was tight. Then he took his hands out through his shirt and washed them. By that time, I bent down to take off the special socks or Kuffa that he was wearing on his feet. ‘ No need to remove it as I wore it with purity’ . Prophet ﷺ said. In other words, I have followed the rules to be followed while wearing socks or Khuffa. By that time, Abdu Rahman bin Auf had completed one rak’at of prayer.
Knowing the arrival of Prophet ﷺ, the followers reminded. Ibn Auf, who was the Imam, prepared to retreat. Then Prophet ﷺ gestured him to remain there and complete the prayer and Prophet ﷺ joined the same congregation. When they finished the prayer, Prophet ﷺ stood up and prayed one more rak’ah. Then Prophet ﷺ said to them, “You have done the right thing. You have done well”. Prophet ﷺ praised the interest of the Companions in performing the prayer on time. Then said: “Every Prophet before his demise would have prayed behind someone who was virtuous from his community”.
We have read a beautiful incident of the Holy Prophet’s ﷺ life. The way he associated with his followers. The style in which he imparted teachings from his life, and his unhesitating attitude towards praising the great among his followers, are all reflected in this.
Prophet ﷺ clearly taught his followers how to handle every aspect of daily life, procedures to be followed when relieving oneself, things to keep in mind while performing ablution, laws to keep when wearing particular socks or khuffa, the conditions of performing ablution in such case . This incident teaches many lessons.
Prophet’s ﷺ approach of performing prayer behind a follower is also a great example of humbleness. Prophet ﷺ taught through practical life how servants should be in front of Allah.

Mahabba Campaign Part-518

Muhammad bin Umair narrates from his spiritual masters: A man from the tribe of Banu Sa’ad Hudaym says that Prophet ﷺ was sitting at Tabuk with a group of followers. Prophet ﷺ called Bilal and said. ‘Oh Bilal, serve us food.. Prophet ﷺ said all those who were gathered there to eat and we all ate to our satisfaction. It would not have been enough food for me . “Even if there is 7 times the quantity of food that fills the stomach of a believer , the stomach of an unbeliever will not be full”. Prophet ﷺ said. The next day I came to Prophet ﷺ with the desire of getting food. Then there were ten of us. As usual, Prophet ﷺ instructed Bilal to arrange food on the plate. Prophet ﷺ said: ‘one should not be afraid of poverty from Allah, the Lord of the Throne . Prayed for the blessings. Advised those who had gathered there to eat in the name of Allah. Everyone ate to their fill. Even after everyone had eaten, there was still as much food left on the plate the same quantity as there was in the beginning. We ate like this for three days with the blessing of Prophet ﷺ. Increase in food is one of the most quoted miracle by which Allah blessed Prophet ﷺ.
Those who argue that Holy Prophet’s ﷺ life and teachings passed only through ordinary and trivial level, are not approaching the history of Prophet ﷺ properly. Incidents like the above, caused many believers to increase their faith and new people to come to Islam. Those who demand and claim religious reformation by alleging that Prophet ﷺ was only a common man, are questioning the sweetness and spirit of the religion. It is not possible to know and follow Prophet ﷺ without understanding Prophethood or Nubuwwa, supernatural events from prophets or ‘Muajizat’, divine teaching or ‘Wahy’. Rather they can only read a person who is designed in their thought.
In order to fully grasp the concepts of such facts we must be able to understand some world beyond human thought. We must come to the philosophical and factual principle that there is no justification except to accept the statements made by the Prophet ﷺ who spoke only truth.
The greatest idea put forward by prophet ﷺ is His Presence and Sovereignty. It is not difficult for a person who accepts such a reality to accept the Messenger of Allah.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah, cannot be found if the events of spiritual touch are removed from the folders of prophetic history. Bilal who is starving and Bilal who is eating food from the blessed hands of Holy Prophet ﷺ can be seen on the same screen in Madinah. Madinah’s screen also shows images of Prophet ﷺ who starved himself and tied a pieces of rock on his abdomen , and the Prophet ﷺ walking around on blessed spiritual food. When we can believe all these together, our faith is in the right direction.
It is not time to leave Tabuk. There is a little more to talk about Tabuk.

Mahabba Campaign Part-519

Muhammad bin Umar narrates. During the journey of the Tabuk campaign, a great serpent appeared on the way, blocking the journey of Prophet’s ﷺ group. It was a serpent of unusual size . All the people were terrified. The serpent moved and stood facing Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ sat on the vehicle and talked to it for a while. Then it slithered out of the way. The followers came to Prophet ﷺ. Then Prophet ﷺ asked, do you know what this is? They said: Allah and His Messenger know. This is one of the eight jinn who came to listen to the Qur’an from me. Then Prophet ﷺ said. That jinn is saying ‘Salam’ to you. The companions replied the ‘Salam’ together.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was appointed not only to guide mankind. There is also a category of jinn. Thus the presence of such a sect is stated by the Qur’an itself. A separate chapter referring to them can be found in the Qur’an. There are good and bad ones in the demon race too. When Prophet ﷺ came with preaching, a number of jinn approached Prophet ﷺ in Makkah to learn the Qur’an from Prophet ﷺ. There is still a masjid at the place where Prophet ﷺ talked with them. The name of that masjid is Masjid-ul-Jinn. The Jinn are the special slaves of Allah and His servants who must obey His laws. Humans are created from clay while jinns are created from fire. The Qur’an also testifies that there are groups and sub-groups among them. There are other incidents in the hadiths where Prophet ﷺ talked with the jinn and mentioned them.
Let’s read another incident. Ya’ala bin Umayyah narrated. A dispute arose between one of his attendants and a soldier of the Muslim army. Finally the soldier bit the hand of the servant. The soldier’s tooth fell out when the servant took out his hand . Finally, both of them came to Prophet ﷺ. I stood by my servant to see what Prophet ﷺ would decide on this matter. Prophet ﷺ asked, “Does one bite another’s hand like a camel bites?” And asked the next person, “Does one put his hand in another’s mouth to bite like a camel?” Prophet ﷺ avoided the compensation for the loss of teeth.
This is an example of Holy Prophet’s ﷺ intervention in a matter. An issue that may rise to an emotional level, is being gently solved. It is not human nature to bite others. If a person is bitten, it is natural for him to withdraw his hand quickly and it is not justified to ask for compensation for a lost tooth.
A short chapter during the Tabuk journey may also be mentioned. A man named Suhail bin Bayla was selected as a companion on the vehicle of Prophet ﷺ on the day of Tabuk. Prophet ﷺ called loudly three times in the traveling group. ‘Ya Suhail’… It was a wake-up call for the entire traveling party. They were all convinced of that. When Prophet ﷺ called out three times, Suhail replied, ” Labbaik ya Rasoolallah”. All those who were traveling with Prophet ﷺ stood together. Prophet ﷺ said to them: Allah has forbidden Hell for anyone who declares with conviction that Allah is One and there is no partners for Him.Imam Ahmad and Tawbrani have quoted this incident.

Mahabba Campaign Part-520

Imam Tabrani (R) narrated an incident like this. Anas (R) says. We were with Prophet ﷺ in Tabuk. One day the sun shone with extraordinary brightness. Never before had such light and brightness been seen. Then Gibreel (A) came to Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ asked Gibreel: “What is so special about today’s sunrise? Then Gibreel said. Muawiya bin Muawiya Al Muzani (R) has passed away in Madinah. Allah has sent 70,000 angels to pray over him. Oh Prophet ﷺ can you pray over him? Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Yes’ and got ready. When Gibreel gestured with his hands, the hills and mountains shifted to both sides. 70,000 angels lined up behind Prophet ﷺ. They stood in two rows. When Prophet ﷺ ended prayer, Gibreel (A.) asked. Why did Muawiya get such a great position? Then Prophet ﷺ said. “Because of his love for the Ikhlas chapter of the Holy Quran. He used to recite it all the time; Sitting and standing: during journey as well as at home.

It is said in the book, Lisanul Meezan. One of the most important signs of prophethood is mentioned in this hadith. Its many series are acceptable as they come in many ways. Imam Nawawi (R) has also quoted this hadith.
Prophet ﷺ is leading the direct prayer for the deceased in Madinah from a distance of many miles . This is an extraordinary occasion granted by Allah. Prophet ﷺ have had many supernatural events like this .

The content of the chapter used by Muawiya (R) refers to the oneness of Allah and His attributes. Teaching the basic rules of Tawheed. Suratul Ikhlas is also a chapter that has been described as one-third of the Qur’an. Reciting the said chapter three times will give you the same reward as reciting the entire Qur’an one time.

Those who estimate the personality and life of Prophet ﷺ as mere commonplace, cannot comprehend this. The reality is that one becomes a prophet only when one is a personality full of exceptional qualities. Sight, hearing, physical structure, and manner of approach all embody that abnormality.
We can see what Prophet ﷺ said in many contexts: “If you see as I see and you know as I know”. When asked if we could follow some of the things that Prophet ﷺ follow in his life, he said, ‘no’ it is not possible for them and explained about the extraordinary and supernatural benefits that Prophet ﷺ received.

The presence, companionship, conversation and interaction of the angel, Gibreel (A) is a great sign of the exceptional nature of Prophet ﷺ. In the history of Prophet, we can read that Prophet ﷺ sometimes associated with the angel and traveled with the angel, and sometimes traveled like the angel and accompanied the angel. All these will be realized only when the scope and greatness of the great title of Prophethood is grasped with spiritual dimensions.

Mahabba Campaign Part-521

An important chapter in the historical reading of Tabuk is the correspondence with the emperor Hiraclius. Harith bin Usamah Narrates. Bakar bin Muzani says. Prophet ﷺ asked. “Who will go to the Emperor Kaiser with this letter. He will enter paradise”. Then someone asked. Even if the emperor didn’t accept the letter, is there heaven for the person who carries it? Prophetﷺ said: ‘yes’ there is. So someone set out with that message. The king accepted the letter. After reading, he said. Go to the Prophet ﷺ and say that I follow the Prophet (ﷺ). But I don’t intend to give up my authority. Then he sent some dinars to Prophet ﷺ as a gift. The messenger returned and told Prophet ﷺ the details. After hearing, Prophet ﷺ responded. ‘What he said is a lie’. Prophet ﷺ distributed the dinars among the people.
Narrated by Imam Ahmad from Abu Ya’ala. He says. I met the messenger sent to Hiraclius . The king was then in Hims. A simple description of the event is as follows. When Prophet ﷺ was in Tabuk, sent Dihiyat al-Kalbi to King Hirqal. When the king received Prophet’s ﷺ letter, he read it. Then his ministers and others were summoned and closed the door.
Among them were priests and patriarchs. Then the king said. Don’t you see that a representative has come? Prophet( ﷺ) asked for one of three things. The first is to accept the Prophet’s (ﷺ) religion. Then the king asked the audience. What if all of us accept the religion of that Prophet( ﷺ) and follow him? Then they all responded with one voice. What are you saying? Should we leave everything we own and follow a person from Hijaz? We will never do that.

The king observed that if they went out in this condition , there would be great chaos in the country. Although he was convinced of the reality of Prophet Muhammad , he can’t follow as long as those who are close to him don’t accept. Therefore, he said something tactfully. I asked so to test your loyalty to your faith and ideals. Now I am convinced. So let’s think about other things. For the time being they calmed down. Then the king asked for someone who knew Arabic and did the necessary things to reply Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Mahabba Campaign Part-522

Emperor Hiraclius’s messenger Tanuqi continues. The king called me and handed me the letter for Prophet ﷺ . Go to that person with this letter and notice three things: ‘Does he talk about a recorded text ? Is there any special mark on the back of his body? When reading this letter, does he say something about ‘the night’? These were the three I was asked to notice.
The messenger continues. ‘I met Prophet ﷺ at Tabuk sitting with his followers. I went over there and asked, where is your leader. Someone wd me the leader. I also sat in front of the audience and handed over the letter I had. He accepted it and placed it on his lap. Then he asked me: ‘who are you’?. I said, Tanukh’s brother. “Are you in Islam”? I am in the path of your father Ibrahim. I have come as a representative of the people. I will not deviate from that representation until I return to them. Then Prophet ﷺ smiled and recited the 56th verse of the Al-Qasas chapter of the Holy Quran. The concept can be read as: “No doubt; you cannot guide whom they will. But Allah guides whom He wills. And He is Aware of those who are guided.” Then Prophet ﷺ said to me. Oh brother Tanukh, I wrote a letter to King Kisra.
He tore it up. Allah will destroy him and his authority. I have written to your ruler. He accepted. People will get only good from him. As long as he does good , there will be no difficulty from him. Then the thing that came to my mind was the first thing that the king told me to observe. It was about the message . Prophet ﷺ took the letter and started reading . Muawiya read a part from it . It was the part written by the king addressing Prophet ﷺ: Oh Prophet ﷺ you talk about the paradise which is as vast as the heavens and the earth and invite to it. But then where is the hell? On hearing this, Prophet ﷺ responded like this. If the dawn comes, then where is the chance for night ? I wrote this answer as I wrote the previous answer. Because this was the second thing the king told him to observe. Then Usman bin Affan presented a very valuable gift to me . After that, Prophet ﷺ asked where I would stay for night . Prophet ﷺ was informed that ‘with one of the Ansars. Accordingly I left the audience to accompany the host. Immediately Prophet ﷺ said. “If you want to see what you’ve been assigned, go this way. In other words, Prophet ﷺ is saying what the king said to observe the back part of Prophet’s ﷺ body. The king’s messenger says. When I passed through the part mentioned by Prophet ﷺ, the part of his shoulder was revealed to me. When I looked, there was the seal of prophethood.. It was a lump of flesh.
After completing the mission, Tanukh returned home and reached before the king. All informations presented in detail. The messenger invited people to the straight path.
Imam Suhaili narrates. King Hirqal sent gifts to Prophet ﷺ and Prophet ﷺ accepted gifts.

Mahabba Campaign Part-523

Military operations in Tabuk are almost over. Thoughts arose whether to return or stay there. Prophet ﷺ consulted with his followers. Then Umar said, “No, let us do according to what Prophet ﷺ has been commanded to do.” If the command is to go, let’s go. Then Prophet ﷺ said that no special commands have come. What is needed now is consultation. Then Umar started saying. ‘There are different groups of Romans. This move of ours has shocked them all. We do not know how their reaction might be if we return’.
Abdur Rahman bin Ganam narrates. When the military operations in Tabuk were over, one day the Jews approached Prophet ﷺ and said: Oh Abul Qasim, that is how they addressed Prophet ﷺ. If you are a true Prophet, come to Sham. That is the land of the prophets and the place of resurrection. Their words seemed good for Prophet ﷺ. Thought of setting out for Sham. But by that time verses 76 & 77 of the Chapter, A al-Isra’u were revealed. The idea can be read as follows: “They have prepared to uproot you from the earth. If that happens, they will not stay there except for a short time after you. This is the same course as with Our messengers whom We sent before you. You will not see any difference in Our course.”
Then Allah ordered Prophet ﷺ to return to Madina. And then said. O Prophet ﷺ, the land of your stay and demise is Madina, from where you will be reborn tomorrow. Prophetﷺ prepared to travel. By that time Gibreel reminded Prophet ﷺ that all prophets have prayers, so pray . Verse 80 of Al-Isra’u chapter contains the idea of the prayer performed by Prophet ﷺ. Let’s read. “O Prophet, pray: “My Lord, make my entrance with the truth! Make my departure also with truth. Grant me from You a power to assist me”.
Holy Prophet ﷺ started his return journey reciting these prayer words. Scholars have also noted some reasons for Prophet’s ﷺ return without entering Sham. Sham was a region rife with epidemics. Prophet ﷺ taught not to go to such a land and those who are there not to go out. This is the reason cited by many prominent scholars .
Prophet ﷺ consultation with his followers, approaches to social and political health conditions, Immunization through contactless living, which we have recently had to adopt, are still acceptable in modern times. Or a well-known important view in the history of the quarantine system. Holy Prophet’s ﷺ lesson on how to deal with contagious diseases.
Each chapter conveys to us the convictions of how Prophet’s ﷺ history should be read in relation to the current situation.

Mahabba Campaign Part-524

Prophet ﷺ and his followers are returning from Tabuk. Along the way there were some machinations of the hypocrites. Munafiqs or hypocrites are those who profess to be Muslims and commit anti-Islamic actions secretly. A group of them decided to kill Prophet ﷺ on the way back to Madinah. They made the necessary strategies for it. Their aim was to join Prophet ﷺ at a ravine on the way, divert the others and kill Prophet ﷺ on the way. Prophet ﷺ received information from Allah that they were planning to cheat .
So while the caravan was proceeding, Prophet’s ﷺ vehicle entered a ravine. Immediately one of the hypocrites shouted loudly. Prophet ﷺ is passing through this way . Those who come behind must pass through the broad way beyond this. It seems from this statement that they want to get more comfort for Prophet ﷺ . Soon the group of Companions entered the next passage. Seeing this, the hypocrites rushed towards the path of Holy Prophet ﷺ. It was a very dark time. To make matters worse, they all wore masks. Ammar bin Yasir was holding the reins of Prophet’s ﷺ vehicle. Hudaifa bin Yamani was behind. Both of them carefully led Prophet ﷺ forward. The hypocrites attacked Prophet’s ﷺ vehicle. Some items fell from the vehicle onto the ground. By that time, Hamza bin Amr Al Aslami came to Prophet ﷺ. He says. ‘All of my five fingers started to glow. The things that fell from Prophet’s ﷺ vehicle were picked up with the help of the light emanating from those fingers. Prophet ﷺ got angry. Hudaifa was asked to defend. He opposed the hypocrites striking the face of the enemy’s vehicle with a curved stick in his hand. The hypocrites felt that Prophet ﷺ had been informed and that their deception would no longer succeed. They quickly ran down the ravine and joined the rest of the people. Hudaifa hurried to Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ told Hudaifa to lead the vehicle forward quickly. So Ammar and Hudaifa brought the vehicle of Prophet ﷺ to the mountain side . ‘Do you know those who came to cheat us’? .Prophet ﷺ asked. He said he could not identify the person as they were all wearing masks and the area was dark. But I can tell by seeing their vehicles. Then Prophet ﷺ asked, Do you know what their intention was? Then Hudaifa said, “I do not know who made it.” Then Prophet ﷺ said: “They aimed to crush me in this mountain pass and push me to the bottom and kill me”.

Mahabba Campaign Part-525

Prophet ﷺ continued. Allah has informed me of their names and the names of their fathers. I can tell you their names if needed. Then Hudaifa (R) said. We are ready to handle them if you permit . If necessary, we are ready to kill them. Then Holy Prophet ﷺ said. I don’t want it to be said that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ kills those who are with him. Then Prophet ﷺ informed Ammar and Hudaifa the names of those who planned to kill Prophet ﷺ. They were specifically instructed not to reveal their names . Then Prophet ﷺ said. Gather Al our followers In the morning .

In the morning Usaid bin Hudair (R) asked Prophet ﷺ unexpectedly. Why did you travel through a narrow ravine last night instead of through a valley? Then Prophet ﷺ said, “Oh, Abu Yahya (R)…did you not know what the hypocrites targeted yesterday! Their plan was to endanger me in that gorge. Then Usaid (R) said: ‘Everyone is gathered here. If you reveal the details of the people who intend to kill you, we can pass information about them to their tribes. Let those tribes themselves execute punishment upon them. Or if you give me their names, I can produce their heads here .
“Oh Usaid ! I do not want to hear the accusation that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led a group and after defeating the enemy, now try to kill those group who was with him”. Then he asked, O Prophet ﷺ, after all aren’t they hypocrites? They are not really companions . Then Prophet ﷺ said. “They are saying ‘Lailaha illallah’ openly. And they openly declare that I am the Messenger of Allah . I have been instructed not to kill those who profess faith, even if they do not actually believe”.

It can be seen in the narration that Ibn Ishaq quotes from Yunus bin Bukhairi . It was 12 leaders from the group of hypocrites who made such a conspiracy against Holy Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ summoned all 12 of them. Prophet ﷺ clearly presented before them the words each of them said and the things they aimed at. They were surprised and at the same time they made excuses and looked for way to escape. Why did you try to kill me? Why did one of you say this to another among you?. The conversation of Holy Prophet ﷺ was by presenting proof. They justified or refuted each of them. Prophet ﷺ did not take any action against them publicly.
Verse 74 of the Tawbah chapter mentions this matter. The concept can be read as: They swear by Allah that they did not say so; indeed, they have uttered the word of disbelief. And they have disbelieved after their ‘Islam.’ If they repent, that is better for them. If they turn back, Allah will give them a painful punishment in this world and the next. And there is no one to help them here.”

The end of these 12 people was very tragic. It can be seen in the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim (R). Prophet ﷺ says. “There are 12 people with my followers. Even if a camel passes through the eye of a needle, they will not enter heaven”.

This incident is to read how cruel the attitudes of the hypocrites were and how precise the approaches of Prophet ﷺ were.

Mahabba Campaign Part-527

Holy Prophet ﷺ is getting closer to Madina. Great Imam Bukhari quotes from Anas. Prophet ﷺ said when reached Madina after Tabuk campaign. ‘O Companions, there is a group of people in Madina who were with you in every way you traveled and did not part with you when you crossed every valley. They were in Madina. They could not come with us to Tabuk for sufficient reasons’ . Prophet ﷺ intended those who did not come to Tabuk physically but traveled with their minds.
Ibn Abi Shaiba narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada: ‘We were returning from Tabuk. Then Prophet ﷺ said this is ‘Twaba’. Madina was called by the name Twaba, which meaans purity. Then Prophet ﷺ continued. Allah made me stay in this Twaba. Madina washes away the sins of Madina people like the stain of iron is cleaned by fire . When the mountain of Uhud came into view, Prophet ﷺ said: “Uhud is the mountain that loves me. I like Uhud too. Let me tell you which house is the best among the houses of the Ansars. Followers said, ‘yes’. Banu Najjar family .Then Banu Abd al-Ashhal, and then Banu Sa’idah. Abu Usaid says: ‘Prophet ﷺ spoke about the families of Madina and counted my house as the last of the best houses of the Ansars. Then Sa’ad (R) asked Prophet ﷺ. ‘When you counted the houses in Madina, you counted my house as the last of the best houses. Then Holy Prophet ﷺ responded thus. “Isn’t it glory enough to be included in the category of the best” !.

Prophet ﷺ and his followers approached Madina. Returning from a long distances and after a long time. It was also a day of celebration for the people of Madina. They met together at Saniyat al-Wada. They celebrated as they did on the day when Prophet ﷺ migrated from Makkah to Madina. They started reciting the same couplets.

Twalal Badru Alaina, Min Saniyatil Wadai….

Narrated by Imam Tabrani (R) and Baihaqi (R). Aus bin Harith (R) says. When Prophet ﷺ returned from Tabuk, I went to Prophet ﷺ. I heard Abbas bin Abdil Mutalib (R) saying to Prophet ﷺ. ‘What if I praise the messengers of Allah ﷺ’?. “May Allah prevent your teeth from falling out:” prayed for the blessing in his voice and mouth.

Prophet ﷺ entered Madina and entered the masjid first. Then he prayed two rak’ahs and addressed the people. Praised Allah for the goodness and safety throughout the journey.

Even then , the hypocrites continued their schemes. They looked for ways to blame Prophet ﷺ and his followers. This is what the 50th verse of Al Tauba chapter says .
“If you receive any benefit, it will make them sad. If any calamity afflicts you, they say: indeed we have taken care of our affair before . And they will turn back with joy.”

Mahabba Campaign Part-528

Masjid Lirar incident is a part to be read along with the Tabuk military operation. Banu Amr bin Auf built a masjid and requested Prophet ﷺ to perform prayer . Banu Ganam bin Auf who witnessed this event said let us build a masjid like this. Then Abu Amir, one of the hypocrites, said them, “You also build a masjid and collect as many weapons as possible. I am going to Caesar, the ruler of Rome. I will bring another army from there. Then together we can expel Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) from here. This instruction was given before Abu Amir went to Syria.
However, after the construction of the masjid, a group of them approached Prophet ﷺ and said: ‘we have built a masjid so that the sick and those nearby can perform prayer from there. At the time of heavy rain also people can perform prayer. We wish that you come and perform prayer there . It was their trick to make the masjid acceptable . Prophet said as he prepared to go to Tabuk. ‘Now I am busy with many works and travel.
If Allah wills to come back, I will come and perform prayer’. So on the way back from Tabuk, Prophet ﷺ dismounted at a place called Du Awan. It is only an hour’s distance from Madina. There the 107th verse of the Al Tauba chapter of the Holy Qur’an was revealed. The idea can be read as follows: “Among them are those who built masjids to cause harm, to aid disbelief, to cause dissension among the believers, and to provide shelter for one who fought Allah and His Messenger. They will swear that We did not intend any evil. But surely Allah bears witness that they are liars.”
Then Allah spoke about the harms of that building . And commanded Prophet ﷺ not to go there to perform prayer. That reference is explained in the same verse as the one quoted above. It is like this.”. “You should never pray there; certainly a masjid founded on piety from the very first day is more deserving that you should stand in it; in it are men who like that they should be purified ; and Allah loves those who purify themselves”.
Among these, the most sacred is the Quba Masjid in Madina.
Prophet ﷺ gave instructions to demolish this building which was built with the aim of disunity and division of the society. Prophet ﷺ taught that human unity and value-based organization are greater than mere constructions. The munafiqs did the construction wearing the veil of hypocrisy to attack and destroy an existing idea without putting forward a clear one. There was no other way for any ruler or leadership except to demolish it. With the destruction of that building , it was possible to eliminate the destructive thoughts stemmed out of it.

Mahabba Campaign Part-529

We have to read military operations led by Prophet ﷺ as well as the diplomatic operations under his instructions .
There are 38 military movements to be read from the history. There are different opinions that more than forty or hundred military movements including wars and expeditions . The words “Sariyat and Ghaswat” are used in the texts to denote military movement and war respectively . “The Sariyat” are generally small groups with diplomatic goals.
First of all, we need to know some facts that Holy Prophet ﷺ followed while appointing such groups
First : Generally, Holy Prophet ﷺ used to send such groups on the journey in the mornings. It can be seen in the hadiths that Prophet ﷺ prayed to shower special blessings on my community in the morning.
Second: Prophet ﷺ prayed specially while sending them . The meaning of Prophet’s ﷺ supplication was that: ‘ I send this army in the name of Allah in order to get help from Allah’.
Third: Holy Prophet ﷺ used to walk for a while with the leaders of some groups appointed. Mu’ad bin Jabal (R) was appointed by Prophet ﷺ to Yemen. When he got onto the vehicle and started the journey, Prophet ﷺ walked with him for a short distance. Prophet ﷺ reminded him at the time of bidding farewell, O Mu’ad ! you may not see me after this year. Perhaps you will have to walk by my grave and masjid”. It was a prophesy about the demise of Prophet ﷺ. Mu’ad could not bear it. He burst into tears. Bearing the pain of departure , he said goodbye to Prophet ﷺ and parted.

Fourth: Instructions to military commanders. Buraidah (R) says. Holy Prophet ﷺ used to give special instructions to the leaders of the travel groups while appointing them. The most important thing was to observe the laws of Allah. Prophet ﷺ used to give many instructions about the justice of war. The movements of Holy Prophet ﷺ were not for a mere establishment of power or a display of power. Rather, it was with a clear purpose and intention. The goal was to convey the greatest universal truth that there is no deity to be worshiped but Allah and the truth that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah and to teach the necessary rules for human salvation and ultimate liberation. He was not ready to tolerate with even an iota of violence and immorality.

Holy Prophet ﷺ took a strong stance against any policies and thoughts that would deprive man forever and make him lose his life. Diplomatic approaches may appear to be war or use of weapons, but are essential interventions for the benefit of the world.

Mahabba Campaign Part-530

When talking about war, those who have vested interests, are keen to blame terrorism and extremism on Islam. Such remarks are made neglecting the reason and political context of the war.

Some are bent on blaming Islam and the Muslims at a time when a community is being slaughtered in an open prison, throwing away all the justices of war put forward by the new world, which claims to be progressive. However, things become clear when we study in detail who Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was and what was the purpose of each military operation.

As a ruler, Prophet ﷺ had to take some stances necessary for the security of the country. He had to defend himself against those who attacked without reason. When the right was denied to live and work in his native land, he had to migrate to another country .There he was compelled to take preventive measures when there was threat for life and justice was denied. It is the defense that any social justice allows. It is a step that should be favored by any political system .
Holy Prophet ﷺ took special care to maintain human security and justice even when such steps were taken. Prophet ﷺ instructed followers to maintain humanity even at the time of war. He taught them not to disturb those who meditate lonely whichever ideology they follow. He inculcated in them the thought that demolishing places of worship would lead to anarchy. He warned not to harm innocent children and women.

No media is willing to associate such countries with religion despite military strikes that mocks at all such positive thoughts. The media competes to justify the reasons behind such attacks .

Mahabba Campaign Part-531

We are going to discuss some of the military movements in the life of Prophet ﷺ .

One.
The diplomatic and military move known as “Sariyatu Hamza” is the first mentioned in history. The group was led by Hamza (R) who was the paternal brother of Holy Prophet ﷺ and consisted of only the Sahabas who were Muhajirs. They used white flag . Marsad Kannaz bin Husain al-Ghanawi was carrying that flag. It was also the first flag in the series of military operations in Islamic history. It is also said that it was carried by Ubaid bin Harith (R). This military move was aimed at the Quraish trading group. The operation was planned on the thought that there should be no dangerous war. It was only when the Quraish did not yield to the conditions that ended in the battle of Badr.

Two.
The name of this group was “Sariyatu Ubaid Bin Al Harith”. This expedition was to confront Abu Sufiyan and his group near a water source called Ahya in the Rabag Valley, 10 kilometers from Juhfa.
Three.
This military move is known as “Sariyyathu Sa’ad Bin Abi Waqas” . Amrul Bahrani was carrying the white flag. This group adopted the method of resting during day time and travelling at night. On the fifth day reached a place called Gassas. By that time, the targeted group had left there .

Four.
“Sariathu Abdullah bin Jahsh”.
One day after the night prayer, Prophet ﷺ said . When you come for morning prayer, you should bring your weapon. I am going to assign you to a place. Abdullah ibn Jahsh (R) arrived at the morning with weapons. When Prophet ﷺ finished his prayer, I had already reached there. Just then, a group from Quraish arrived there. Prophet ﷺ said to Abdullah handing over a note: Move forward by leading this group. After two nights, open this note. Then, do as per that note. In this group too there were only the Companions who came from Makkah.

There were eight members in the group. They were Abu Hudaifa (R), Sa’ad bin Abi Waqas (R), Ukasha (R), Utubat bin Ghaswan (R), Amir bin Rabi’ah (R), Waqeed bin Abdullah (R), Khalid bin Bukair (R), Suhaylbin Baila (R). After traveling for two consecutive days, Abdullah bin Jahsh (R) checked the note of Prophet ﷺ and went forward according to the instructions. (The details have been mentioned earlier)

Mahabba Campaign Part-532

Sariyyatu Zaid Bin Haritha.
This was the first army group under the leadership of Zaid . Such an operation was made in pursuit of the Quraish when they left the way to Sham and took the road to Iraq. He met the Quraish in the area of Kharada and succeeded in the operation. In this way war property was recovered.
Six:
The military action against Ka’ab bin Ashraf is also come under this category. His poems were used to tarnish Prophet ﷺ and to incite enemies against Islam. This incident is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, Chapter 3, Verse 186: “You will hear many evil words from those who received the Book before you and from the polytheists.”
Ka’ab could not believe that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his followers had won at Badr. If that happened, he said, it is better to die than to live on this earth. At last his travels and his actions destroyed him. This military operation was led by Muhammad Bin Maslama.
Military moves against the woman, Asma bint Marwan should be read in the same way .Her joy was in throwing rubbish into the masjid and reviling Prophet ﷺ. A companion of Umair bin Adiyy performed the said operation very well. Though he was visually impaired but performed this task miraculously.
The view that anything can be done in the name of freedom of expression, is not good. Nor the idea that anyone can write and speak anything . It is a part of the common law that the ruler, values and the symbols of a nation should not be impugned. The absolute freedom of thinking that anyone can say anything and do anything, will destroy the security of the nation and society.
Why can’t a country accept criticizing the father of that nation and making concerted efforts to defame him? It is part of the values and respects that are heard as part of the national fabric. It should be the same in any society and any faith.
Insulting the leader of a movement is a part of an attempt to destroy that movement. Sometimes speaking ill of a ruler is part of efforts to destabilize the nation. Therefore, the country and the society need to discourage or eliminate such faults .How many writers and speakers have been controlled in the modern political and cultural structure on the grounds of inciting crimes or evoking radical ideas. Sometimes such cultural activists have
even had to face punishment.
Any form of expression requires many dimensions and considerations for human values, moral thoughts and social rhythms.

Mahabba Campaign Part-533

Seven:
Sariyyatu Abi Salama: This move was in the 35th month of Hijra under the leadership of Abu Salama bin Abdul Asad.
Waleed bin Zuhair of the tribe of Twayy came to Madinah to visit his brother’s daughter. She was with Tulaib bin Umair. So while telling the news of his place, Waleed shared a news that the daughter of Quwaylid, Thulaiha was preparing to fight against Prophet ﷺ . Waleed added that Kais bin Harris disagreed with the decision .
On hearing about a military move by the Quraish, Prophet ﷺ called Abu Salama and appointed as the leader of a group with a flag. Then Prophet ﷺ said: “I appoint you as the leader of this group. Travel to the land of Banu Asad bin Khuzaimah and reach there before their group can confront you”. Then Prophet ﷺ gave special advice to observe the laws of Allah. Taught values and norms to be with each other.
There were 150 people in that group. The guide was a man from the Twayy tribe. The group traveled very quickly, day and night. They reached their destination before any information about them reach there. The tribe of Banu Asad camped near a water source. The shepherds who were there went to the tribe and reported the news . When they heard the size of Abu Salama’s group, they prepared to escape from there by various routes. Abu Salama and his group followed them and collected much of their wealth from them. Thus ended their plans to attack Madinah and confront Prophet ﷺ.
They returned to Medina victorious.
Eight:
The group of Abdullah bin Unais.
This group left on the fifth of Muharram, the 35th month of Hijra. It was a Monday. Abu Sufyan bin Khalid decided to attack Prophet ﷺ and Madinah with a group from the tribe of Urna. Prophet ﷺ knew this information. Called Abdullah ibn Unais immediately and then told him: ‘Abu Sufiyan bin Khalid and his group intends to attack us. They will be in Nakhla or Urna. Go quickly and face them’. Abdullah ibn Unais says: ‘ I requested Prophet ﷺ to tell something about him ( Abu Sufiyan) to recognize him. Then Prophet ﷺ said: when you see him you will be afraid at first sight’ . Then I took permission from Prophet ﷺ to use some tricks. The War itself is a trick. Then Prophet ﷺ said that it is enough to say that you belong to the tribe of Khuz’aa.

Mahabba Campaign Part-534

Abdullah ibn Unais (R) continues. I took the weapon and went out in search of the place of the tribe of Khuza’a. Met Sufyan ibn Khalid in the valley of Urna. A group of Ethiopians were with him. As soon as I saw him, I shuddered . Then I remembered the warning of Prophet ﷺ. I thought how accurately Allah and Rasool ﷺ describe things. It was evening time. I performed the evening prayer by gesturing with the limbs while walking. He asked me to come near. who is this? I said, I am from the tribe of Khuza’a. I have come to you knowing that you are organizing an army against Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. So I thought to help you . Then he said. Yes, now I am organizing an army .

After that, I walked with him. He believed my words. I said: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought a new religion: Things that our forefathers and ancestors did not say. Then I looked around. I didn’t see anyone similar to me . He was on his way. After that, he entered his residence. And all those who were there, went to the nearby houses . Then he called me. Come closer, brother Khuza’a. I went closer and sat with him. It was late at night. All were asleep.
In another report it is like this. I walked with him. When I got an opportunity, I drew my sword and killed him . I went straight up the mountain with his head. At dawn I hid inside a cave. Cavalry came out looking for me from all sides. Finally they reached the entrance of the cave where I was hiding. By that time, the entrance of the cave where I was sitting had a spider web.

There was a man coming towards the cave. He has a white bowl and a pair of footwear . I was scared when I saw him. He urinated in the vicinity of the cave. Then he called out to his friends. There is no one inside. All those who came with him returned. Then, he too turned and walked away. Slowly I took the white bowl and drank the water and put on the footwear. At dawn, the journey continued again. I traveled to Madina hiding by day and traveling by night. I went to the Holy Prophet ﷺ who was in the masjid . Prophet ﷺ said as soon as he saw me: “The face has won”. It was the expression of the joy of victory. I immediately replied: ‘Oh beloved Prophet ﷺ your face is victorious. I put the head of Sufiyan in front of Holy Prophet ﷺ and described what had happened . Then Prophet ﷺ gave me a stick and said: “take this and travel in heaven also . There are very few people in heaven who come walking with a stick”. He kept that stick like gold. He advised to bury him with this stick. Accordingly, when Abdullah ibn Unais (R) was buried , the stick was also there on his body.

It can also be seen in the narration of Ibn Uquba (R). Before Abdullah ibn Unais (R) returned to Madina, Prophet ﷺ had informed his followers the news regarding with Abu Sufiyan bin Khalid .

Mahabba Campaign Part-535

Rajeeu Group.
In the fourth year of Hijra, the people of the tribe of Azal and Qarrah came to Madina. They asked Prophet ﷺ to send a group to introduce Islam and the Qur’an to their tribe. Accordingly, Holy Prophet ﷺ sent a group. It was a ten-member group consisting of Asim bin Thabit, Marsad bin Abi Marsad, Abdullah bin Twarikh, Qubaib bin Adiyy, Zaid bin Dasina, Khalid bin Al Bukair and Mu’atib bin Ubaid.
When they reached a place called Rajeeu, the people who invited them turned hostile. An armed group was waiting there. The people who were from Madina were made captives and told that they will be released if they obey the Quraish. The Companions replied that: ‘we do not want to live by betraying Islam’. The enemies killed all but two of them. They sold two people named Khubaib and Aswim. We have already read how they were treated and finally killed.
TEN.
Sariyyatu Mundir bin Amr.
This is known as Bi’ru Mau’na incident. Abu Barau Amir bin Malik came to Prophet ﷺ with a group. He was the leader of Banu Amir. Prophet ﷺ invited him to Islam. But he refused to accept and instead demanded that a group be sent to his tribe to introduce Islam. According to this, Prophet ﷺ sent 70 people with them. When they reached a place called Bi’r Mau’na, the real nature of them was revealed. Usayy, Rial, Daqwan, and other groups of the tribe of Banu Sulaim jumped on them. They killed all of them except Ka’abu bin Zaid and left him under the impression that he was also killed.
Holy Prophet ﷺ was deeply hurt by this incident and prayed against the assailants.
ELEVEN.
Sariyyat Muhammad bin Maslama:
This journey was to an area called Khurutwaa. Urua reports: ‘Muhammad bin Maslama was assigned to the tribe of Banu Bakar by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ along with 30 horsemen. Abbad bin Bishar, Salamat bin Salama and Harith bin Huzaima were also with him. Prophet ﷺ instructed them to travel by night and hide during the day. Specially taught how strategic moves should be.

Mahabba Campaign Part-536

ELEVEN.
Sariyyatu Ukashat bin Mihzan.
In the 6th year of Hijra, the group assigned to the water source of Gamar-Marzooq between Najd and Tihama of Banu Asad tribe. It was a group of 40 members led by a Companion named Ukashat bin Mihzan. It is also reported that Thabith bin Akhram (R) was the leader of the group. As soon as they saw the arrival of such a group, the enemy left their camps and moved to the mountain top. The Muslim group returned to Madina with the property forsaken by the enemies.

TWELVE. .
The group of Muhammad bin Maslama (R).
Muhammad bin Maslama (R) was sent to Banu Maawiya along with 10 members including Abu Naila (R) and Harith bin Aus (R). There were also two people from the Musaina tribe. Reached the destination at night and managed to escape the sight of the enemy. Muslims were injured and some were killed in this operation. Muhammad bin Maslama (R) returned to Madinah with injuries. Another group headed by Abu Ubaida (R) reached there but did not meet the enemy. Muhammad bin Maslama (R) says. ‘I thought I would face the man who injured me during the battle of Khaiber. But he had accepted Islam by then. I responded that it is better for me that you have embraced Islam.

Abu Ubaidah (R) came to the aforesaid place with forty people . By that time, the enemy had retreated to the mountains and other nearby places. Abu Ubaida (R) returned to Madina with the wealth earned from there.
Around this time, a group led by Zaid bin Haritha (R) went to Banu Sulaim. They were in Jumum. Halima, a woman from the tribe of Musaina assisted in this diplomatic move. Her husband was also there. The team returned victorious.

THIRTEEN:
A group of 170 people headed by Zaid bin Haritha (R) left for the area called Eaz. The journey was aimed at a trading group of the Quraish. Abul Aasw, the husband of Zainab, the daughter of Holy Prophet ﷺ, was also present in that group. When night fell, he sought refuge with Zainab (R). After Holy Prophet ﷺ had performed the morning prayer, the daughter of Prophet ﷺ informed Prophet ﷺ about the shelter given to Abul Aasw. When Holy Prophet ﷺ heard the news that his daughter given shelter, he said to his followers: I hear this information of sheltering when you hear it. Or no prior agreement was made on this matter. Prophet ﷺ said this while seeking the opinion of the believers. Then they said in unison. To whom Prophet’s ﷺ daughter gave shelter, we also gave shelter.

This incident taught how a leader and administrator should be fair and just. Although Prophet ﷺ could have allow security on his own decision and grand asylum, the decision was made after public opinion was formed.

FOURTEEN.
Sariyyathu Zaid Bin Haritha.
This is a defensive move made in the sixth year of Hijra to the Hizma area behind Wadil Qura. On the way, Hunayd bin Uz met a companion named Dihiyat al-Kalbi (R) who was the Messenger of Prophet ﷺ as an envoy to Caesar, the ruler of the Roman Empire. Hunaid and his son attacked Dihiyatul Kalbi and all his belongings were seized. Tried to send him back only with his innerwear. However, some members of the tribe of Dubaib confronted Hunayd and returned the belongings of Dihiyatul Kalbi. Dihiya (R) soon returned to Madina and described the incident to Prophet (ﷺ) . Holy Prophet ﷺ, who was listening to everything, called Zaid bin Haritha (R) and asked to leave immediately for Hunaid’s territory. Zaid (R) set out with a group of 500 men. Dihiya (R) also went with him.

The area covered by Hunaid was also inhabited by the Juzam tribe. They had already known and accepted Islam. Because Rifa’at bin Saeed (R) visited Prophet ﷺ and accepted his message and came to the tribe.
In a diplomatic area like this, there was no way to deal with those who attacked Messenger of the Prophet ﷺ and obstructed his smooth passage. Zaidu bin Haritha (R) performed the task cleverly. On hearing the arrival of Zaid (R), the enemies fled to the outlying areas leaving behind all their belongings. Therefore, Zaid bin Haritha (R) was able to quickly conquer them and capture Nuhayd. Got a thousand camels and five thousand. A hundred people with women and children came to Madina with Zaid bin Haritha. Although they were taken captive, later they came to Islam .

This operation of Zaid bin Haritha (R) also brought about changes in the tribe of Dubaib. They spoke honestly about the faith they had kept inside. They also recited the first chapter of the Holy Quran.

But a man named Hassan bin Milla, who recited the Qur’an, visited Rifaat bin Za’id and aroused his thoughts against Prophet ﷺ and Islam. This gave way to some emotional resistance. This has led to some misunderstandings among those who accepted Islam earlier.

Mahabba Campaign Part-538

FIFTEEN.
To Daumatul Jantal.
Diplomatic move to Daumatul Jantal under the leadership of Abdur Rahman bin Auf (R) in Sha’aban, the sixth year of Hijra . Abdullah ibn Umar (R) says. One day Prophet ﷺ called Abdu Rahman ibn Auf (R) and said: be ready, I am going to assign you to a place today or tomorrow. Abdullah ibn Umar continues. ‘I decided to reach the masjid early and listen to the mission and advice given by Prophet ﷺ to Abdu -Rahman bin Auf (R). So when I arrived, nine people had already arrived there before me. Abu Bakar (R), Umar (R), Uthman (R), Ali (R), Abdu -Rahman ibn Awf (R), Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (R), Mu’ad bin Jabal (R), Hudayfat bin Al Yaman (R), Abu Saeed al-Khudri (R).

Abdullah ibn Umar continues. Then a young man from the Ansars came to Prophet ﷺ. He greeted Prophet ﷺ and started asking. O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who is the best believer? “A man of the best character”. Who is the wisest believer? “One who thinks about death before it approaches and prepares for it”. Then the questioner kept mum.
Prophet ﷺ came to us and started a conversation. O Muhajirs, if five things occur to you, (may Allah guards you). If the undesirable things becomes manifest in a community and becomes rampant , there will be unprecedented calamities and epidemics among them. If anomaly took place in measurements and weights, financial depression and attacks from the government will be the result. If Zakat is not given, the rain will decrease and they will get water just because of the presence of innocent cattles . As long as they break the covenant between Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, the enemies will dominate over them. If Allah’s Book is set aside from the decree, disputes and difficulties will arise among them.
Prophet ﷺ is talking about socio-political realities before appointing a diplomatic team. These are the references to the ethical structure put forward by Prophet ﷺ. These narrations make it clear once again that the goal of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Islam is to establish the ultimate truth and invite people to the ultimate goodness.

This statement is also an indication of how many variations and differences will occur in the future social structure, in the methodology of discourses, in the approach to the universe . A moral social structure has many opportunities to grow and rise. Through this, Holy Prophet ﷺ teaches us how great the far-reaching calamities that will come after the temporary happiness if the whole chain of values is broken by awakening and motivating the physical feelings inherent in man.

Mahabba Campaign Part-539

Then Abdur Rahman Binu Auf (R) was given instructions related with the travel. When traveling to Daumatul Jandal, to travel by night and stay during the day. The group of 700 people prepared for the journey. Abdur Rahman (R) said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I wish that this meeting of mine as a traveler would be the last meeting with you. Or if I get martyrdom in the way of Allah during this journey. Prophet ﷺ asked him to sit in front of him. Then put on his own turban with his hands to Abdu Rahman. A black turban with a four-finger tail was worn. Prophet ﷺ said that it is better for you to wear like this.

Then Bilali (R) was assigned to bring the flag. Prophet ﷺ handed over the flag to Abd al-Rahman after praising Allah and reciting ‘Salat’ and said this: take this.. In the name of Allah, go down to the battlefield in His name. Follow the instructions of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ in the way of the struggle. Obey the prescribed rules in battles.
Abdur Rahman (R) went to his friends carrying the flag then left for Daumatul Jantal. After reaching there, invited people to Islam. But they turned away and prepared for fighting . On the third day, Asbag bin Amr Al Kalbi, a Christian leader embraced Islam. A group came to Islam with him. All the information was conveyed to Holy Prophet ﷺ. The information was conveyed by sending a letter with Rafi bin Makees. Through the letter Abdu Rahman informed Prophet ﷺ his desire to get married from here. Prophet ﷺ agreed . Abdu Rahman married the daughter of Asbagh. Abu Salama bin Abdur Rahman (R.) was the son born of that marriage .

This part of history reminds us of the dedication of the followers to protect the ideology. When bidding farewell to Holy Prophet ﷺ, the desire to open the paths to the hereafter is expressed to the leader who loves him deeply. We have another occasion to read here in which Holy Prophet ﷺ gave freedom to speak freely to each other.
When we think about the married life of Abdur Rahman bin Auf (R), we get another picture of how the social structures were formed in other countries. Holy Prophet ﷺ was able to globalize a great culture rapidly when Prophet’s ﷺ disciples traveled to all directions of the world. The vision of Holy Prophet ﷺ conquered the world at a speed that is unimaginable even in this day and age of globalization. We arrive at more truths when we understand ideas and feelings from the flakes of history.

Mahabba Campaign Part-540

SIXTEEN.
Ali (R) led movement towards Fadak.
This was in the sixth year of Hijra in Sha’ban. Leading a group of 100 members, Ali marched towards the Sa’ad bin Bakar tribe. The reason for this move was that they were preparing to organize against Islam with the Jews of Khyber. Hiding by day and traveling by night, they reached a place called Gamij. Sought information from a person who was there. When asked his name, he introduced himself as ‘Baghi’. It was an expression meaning a seeker. The expression raised doubts whether it his name itself or a hint to his mission. After further questioning he admitted tha he was an observer of the Jews. At first he said that he had no information about the tribe of Banu Sa’ad, later he admitted that he was a spy for the Jews. Ali (R) and his group held him captive . Ali (R)asked him to give information about the Jews of Khyber and their tactics. He agreed to it for his life . Then he asked : Can I get security if I travel with you and exchange information? Ali assured that nothing will happen to him if he give accurate information. After traveling for a long distance, they reached a place where there were sheep. Then he said these are the wealth of Banu Sa’ad Bakar. Then Ali asked but where are the people ?
He said, Before I came to you, 200 men were assembled here under the leadership of Wabar bin Ulaim. Then Ali said, “lead us to them. If you take us to their place, you can go safely”. But by that time Banu Sa’ad bin Bakar had left their flocks and gone into the hills and mountains. When Ali (R) realized that this was all he could get from the man, he was released and Ali and his group returned to Madinah with the wealth.
When it is known that a gruop is being organized against the country and its ruler, it has always been a part of political strategy to defend that organization at any cost. A ruler can think of nothing else to save the nation. This mission and intervention is all we read of in this history. It makes fascinating reading today that those who lived in Madinah so long before the development of surveillance systems, were able to cleverly observe and subtly circumvent it. Reading about a people who opened their eyes and hearts to observational ways of survival and defense and parted with their life to protect their faith, is an invigorating activity at any time.
These readings will be useful to read yesterday and adopt change, sometimes to be proud, sometimes to learn, often to be proud, or to form new thoughts for the carefree present, and if not to draw something for the future. Its value depends on the mind with which the interpreter reads it.

Mahabba Campaign Part-541

SEVENTEEN.
Move to Wadil Qura.
Under the leadership of Zaid bin Haritha (R), a military expedition was made to the area called Wadi Al-Qura in Ramadan in the sixth year of Hijra. Ali (R) explains the background of this incident. Once Zaid bin Haritha (R) headed a merchant group towards Sham. When they reached the area called Wadi al-Qura, a group of people from Banu Fazara tribe attacked the group of Zaid bin Haritha (R) and seized their property. The enemies thought that Zaid bin Haritha (R) and those who were with him had died. So they left them. However, Zaid bin Haritha (R) escaped with injuries and came straight to Madina. He vowed not to touch his wife without revenging Banu Fazarah . When the wounds healed, he made a move to the Fazara with the permission of the Prophet ﷺ. They moved forward, hiding by day and traveling by night.

With only one day’s distance left, the guide misguided them. However, they entered the real path in a day and reached the enemy camp chanting the Takbeer praising the glory of Allah. The enemy group was defeated and a woman named Ummu Khirfa was captured who had spent her whole life to insult Prophet ﷺ. Finally, Zaid bin Haritha (R.) reached Madinah in triumph and met Prophet ﷺ and embraced him.
It was a political situation that others had to be convinced that Madina and its system were too strong to be attacked. Such moves came at a time when allies were forming from various quarters and preparing to attack Madinah and Prophet ﷺ.

When you read the events keeping the political situation in front, you will be convinced why such movements were arranged. It is a matter of conviction that the military setup is necessary for any state structure to lead the country without being invaded and keep its citizens safe! We should read the above-mentioned incidents keeping such political realities in mind.

Here we also see how many brave leaders Medina and Prophet ﷺ presented to the world. The spreading of the ideas put forward by Prophet ﷺ was not possible under the leadership of just one or two people. No community in the history of the world can be read of so ready to sacrifice their life for an idea, forgetting everything. A community that took to heart the idea put forward by Prophet ﷺ and was ready to sacrifice anything for it. Such a history cannot be read except from this unique group.

The title the Companions or followers of Prophet ﷺ was more than just an epithet but also a collection of many unique qualities.

Mahabba Campaign Part-542

The military move led by Abdullah ibn Ateeq.
The war of Khantak was over. Salammu Ibn Abi Huqaiq was the main leader in forming an ally and turning against Islam. The Khazraj tribe of Madina was waiting for an opportunity for revenge. They realized that it is high time to kill him, who was a fierce enemy of Islam and Prophet ﷺ. The Khazraj tribe, who were competing with the Aus tribe in all good matters, saw this as a good opportunity. A particular rivalry existed between the Aus and Khazraj tribes. If one tribe did a good deed in favor of Prophet ﷺ, the other tribe would wait for an opportunity to do something equal. Accordingly, before the battle of Uhud, Ka’ab bin Ashraf was killed by the tribe of Aus. The Khazraj thought that a similar task could be accomplished by killing Sallamu bin Abil Hukhaiq.
Aus and Khazraj, who were bitter enemies before Islam, became close friends after coming to Islam. They were also rivals in good things as well. If there was someone equal to Ka’ab bin Ashraf, who had insulted Prophet ﷺ and stood against Islam, the Khazraj were waiting to execute their plan. Accordingly, the five-member group of Banu Salama set out in search of Sallam. Abdullahi bin Ateeq, Masu’d bin Sinan, Abdullah bin Unais al Juhani, Abu Qatada and Qusai bin Aswad were in that group. There are different opinions that it was a group of six including Abdullah bin Utuba and a group of seven including As’ad bin Haram.
By the time the Sahabas reached the house of Sallam, who was taunting and abusing Prophet ﷺ and trying to organize enemies, the sun had set. A companion named Abdullah ibn Ateeq said that we should rest for now and take our steps in the morning. Let me go to the door of Sallam’s castle. I may try to talk with the sentry and try to get inside somehow.
Ibn Ateeq continues. ‘As I approached the door, a group of people came out from inside the fort with lanterns . It was a search for the lost donkey. I was afraid that they would catch me . Immediately I bowed my head like a man urinating by the roadside. Somehow I influenced the doorkeeper and entered inside the fort. There Sallam was crouching next to the cattle shed . I stayed there thinking that no one inside the fort should notice me. I was watching every move of the sentry. Finally I noticed the box where he kept the key.

Mahabba Campaign Part-543

All the people entered inside the fort. The castle doors were locked and the key was hung on a nail. Abu Atiq watched all the scenes from hiding- place . At that time, Abu Rafi was chatting with his companions . Then they went to their bedrooms. Atiq says: I waited until all the noise ended after Abu Rafi and his friends went to sleep. When I found it completely silent, I took the keys to the fort and watched all the premises carefully. Then each room was locked from outside. It was to prevent those inside from coming down if they heard any noise. Then walked towards Abu Rafi’s room. Finally reached the room where he and his family were sleeping. It is not possible to identify in which part of the room he lies. Immediately I called his name, Oh Abu Rafi. He asked: who are you? I moved towards the sound. Then I aimed at him with my sword and struck him. I move to a some distance and asked changing the tone of my voice: ‘Abu Rafiu, what happened!? . Then he said that someone has come and attacked me this night. Then I went to him again and struck him. I appeared there as a helper when his death was certain and his family mourned. Then I opened each of the doors and came to a staircase. I thought I was on the ground but it was a deep one. I fell on the ground and injured my leg. Taking my turban, I covered my leg and moved forward. Soon I reached near my friends on one leg. I called out and said, “Let us escape, Allah has killed Abu Rafiu. You go quickly to Holy Prophet ﷺ and inform him. It was only when I heard melancholic voices from Abu Rafi’s fort, I realized that actually he had been killed. ” Then soon I left for Holy Prophet ﷺ. I got there before everyone else did. All things were described before Prophet ﷺ. I also told about the injured leg. Then Prophet ﷺ said: stretch that leg here to me. I stretched out my leg and Prophet ﷺ patted on my leg it. The leg was completely cured as if it was not injured before.

While reading about the survival and progress of a community, it is natural that their dedication, bravery and strategic interventions become a part of history. The story of someone who went so dedicated to fullfil a mission will be recorded in history. How brightly history should record the defeat of an enemy who had built a fort, turned against Prophet ﷺ, organized military operations, and defied them so strategically. It is certain that learning about yesterdays of survival will give us ideas to retain the values that we have lost. The greatest weapon that Abdullah ibn Atiq had was, his firm faith in Allah and his undying affection for Prophet ﷺ . A Muslim social structure without these two cannot survive or progress .

Mahabba Campaign Part-544

After Abu Rafi , the Jews made Uzair bin Razam their leader. He immediately said: If Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) or his followers target any Jew, they will have been subjected to many hardships. Then the people asked, what do you mean? . Then he said. I will go to Ghatfan and organize the Jews there and go straight to Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ house. If you go directly to someone’s house and face them, surely you will have some advantage. Then those who heard this said, ‘Go ahead with what you intend’.
Prophet ﷺcame to know this information. Abdullah ibn Rawaha was appointed along with three others to investigate matters in utmost secrecy. They came straight to the premises of Asir bin Razam. He hid in the available gaps around his house and observed what was going there . After three days of observation, they returned to Madinah and shared what he had heard and seen. Kharijat bin Husayl also informed Prophet ﷺ with accurate information. When Prophet ﷺ heard about the preparation of the Jews of Ghatfan under the leadership of Asir bin Rasam, Holy Prophet ﷺ thought of a way to defend . A 30-member team was sent under the leadership of Abdullah bin Rawaha there. Abdullah bin Atiq was also there. Abdullah bin Rawaha informed Asir that Prophet ﷺ wants you all to come to Madina to entrust you some matters related with Khaibar. Though Asir agreed to go, but some of his Jewish friends disagreed on the ground that Muhammad (ﷺ) would not take such a step at this time. Asir said: ‘We have fed up with these battles I want to go to Madina’ But Asir insisted that each Jew should be with one Muslim. Asir was with Abdullah ibn Unais. As the caravan moved on, Asir tried to take Abdullah ibn Unais’s sword . Abdullahi knew that Asir was planning to take possession of it. He immediately asked. O enemy of Allah !. Are you planning to cheat? Ibn Unais said: ‘Then I watched him. When we moved a little further, I asked who would get out of the vehicle and lead this group. No one was willing to come down. Finally I got off myself. I got Asir alone during the journey. I cut the back of his leg . He beat me with his weapon. It turned into a conflict. We killed the entire gang who tried to cheat us. There was no loss in our group. But one of them escaped . We returned to Madinah in triumph.
In the meantime, Holy Prophet ﷺ said to his Companions near Madinah, let us go to Thaniya. Let’s look for our friends. So Prophet ﷺ took his companions and proceeded to Thaniyatul Wada. It is the place where people enter Madinah. It was a preparation to receive us. We reached Madinah and were received by Holy Prophet ﷺ and his followers. “Allah has saved you from the assailants” . Prophet ﷺ said while welcoming us
Abdullah Ibn Unais says. Prophet ﷺ stood close to me and performed the blessing mantra on the place where I was injured. I have never had a pain or other difficulties since then. Then Prophet ﷺ gave me a piece of a stick that he used. Said “this is a sign between me and you. Tomorrow in heaven you will come with this piece. Later, when Abdullah ibn Unais departed this world, he was buried with that stick awarded by Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Mahabba Campaign Part-545

NINETEEN.
Military move by Kars bin Jabir.
This military move was to Harrah near Madina in the sixth year of the Hijra. A group of herdsmen from the Ukal Urayna tribes came to Madinah. Prophet ﷺ treated them well and provided them with all the necessary care. They were allotted a share from the herd of camels which the people offered as charity . When they were ready to return home, Yasar, the shepherd of Holy Prophet ﷺ was sent along with them. When they reached the region called Harra, they killed Yasar and forsook the Islamic belief . They mutilated Yazar’s dead body.
This was a case where a fair and exemplary intervention was necessary. Holy Prophet ﷺ appointed a group under the leadership of a Companion named Kars bin Jabir Al Fihri . They arrested the violent gang and punished them according to the seriousness of their crime. The Commentators of the holy Quran say that the 33rd verse of the fifth chapter of the Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida refers to this incident. The content of the above verse can be read as follows: “The punishment for those who fight Allah and His Messenger and try to cause trouble on earth, is death, crucifixion, amputation of limbs in opposite directions, or exile. This is a dishonor for them in this world. There will be a grievous punishment in the Hereafter.”
The criminology of Madinah demanded that there should be no more harmful actions of evil -minded people in the society. Thus Holy Prophet ﷺ and Madinah carried out an official intervention.
It can be seen in a statement that Holy Prophet ﷺ said. “They killed my companion and escaped with the camels. Muhammad bin Umar narrates. A woman from the Banu Amr tribe was traveling on her donkey when she saw Yasar’s dead body lying on the ground. She was the lady who came to Madinah and shared the news of the death of Yasar to others. Immediately, a group of the Companions went there. The dead body of the slain companion was brought to Quba. A 20-member team then went out in search of the assailants and caught them and punished them in exemplary manner
A gang was brought before the law and punished for many crimes such as treacherously moving from faith to unbelief, killing an innocent person, mutilating the dead body and stealing the property in his charge.

Many of these movements in Madinah were termed extremism when opponents did not reach the reality of the events by understanding the situation. In a present age when the so called civilized nations using veto on the face of those who beseech not to kill them is similar to the brutality, throwing away justice at the war front. It is the biggest fun that the same group allege terrorism on Islam. If only a few people in the world had the justice to say that at least the victims are the victims when the real criminals are addressed to be the masters of the world and the innocent are victimized. Even though those innocent have not received any merit, recognition or power, the people of a village are still bleeding and crying to get at least mercy. These lines are dedicated to them.

Mahabba Campaign Part-546

TWENTY.
Military movement of Amr bin Umayya.
Imam Baihaqi narrates that Abu Sufiyan once said to a group of Quraish: ‘Who will come forward to deal with Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) by treachery? Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is a person who travels through the market’ . An Arab from the village heard this and came to the house of Abu Sufiyan and said . ‘I am ready to undertake the above task if you inspire me to be brave, strong and a leader. I have a good spear, dagger, etc. Immediately Abu Sufiyan said: you are my friend. After that, Abu Sufiyan gave him a camel and necessary amount. Abu Sufiyan wished him all the best and sent him off. Immediately he set out and traveled continuously for five nights. On the sixth day at dawn , he reached Madinah and enquired about Prophet ﷺ. When he got the correct information, he went forward. Prophet ﷺ was sitting in the masjid of Banu Abdil Ashhal. On seeing him Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘he is coming to cheat. But Allah has covered his sight. Usaid bin Hulair caught him when he came to Prophet ﷺ. The dagger he was carrying fell to the ground . He lamented, oh my blood, my blood!. Immediately Prophet ﷺ intervened and told him. “Tell me honestly what your intentions are”. If I am safe I will tell the truth . Prophet ﷺ assured him safety. Then the man explained the mission assigned to him.Prophet ﷺ released him safely. After witnessing the lofty behavior and life of Prophet ﷺ, he embraced Islam. Then he told: ‘ I am not naturally fearful. But by the time I got here, I felt as if my strength was waning and my mind delirious. I realized that my aim was not possible. My goal that I had planned secretly, was not going to happen . It is clear to me that you are safe and on the righteous path. Surely Abu Sufiyan is on the side of Satan. Hearing this Holy Prophet ﷺ smiled. After living in Madinah for some days with the consent of Holy Prophet ﷺ he left for his home.
It was during this period that Prophet ﷺ appointed Amr bin Umayyah and one of the Ansars. They were entrusted to deal with Abu Sufiyan if they were cheated. Both of them reached Makkah safely. Some people recognized them after circumambulating the Ka’aba. Later they had to witness the hanging of Khubaib. They skillfully took Khubaib’s body and tried to save from the enemies. The body of Khubaib (R) was covered by the earth. Amr bin Umayya reached Madina.
The time of Holy Prophet’s ﷺ preaching has passed through many difficult days. What a trial Prophet ﷺ had to overcome ! How devotedly the followers stood with Holy Prophet ﷺ !. What bright pictures of self-sacrifice recorded by Mecca and Madina !. The history has preserved the experiences of love attached to the heart and the examples of loving Holy Prophet ﷺ beyond life. How many generations were inspired by these eventful days ! Of course nowhere in the history of the world can we read the parallels of God fearing and love towards Prophet ﷺ.

Mahabba Campaign Part-547

Twenty one.
The movement of Ghalib bin Abdillah Al-Laythi (R).
This military move was during Ramadan in the seventh year of Hijra. Holy Prophet ﷺ sent Ghalib (R) to the tribes of Banu Uwal and Banu Abdu bin Tha’alaba. Prophet’s ﷺ attendant Yasar (R) was the guide who successfully completed the military move and returned to Madinah.

Meanwhile, another incident occurred. Usamath bin Zaid (R) who was in Ghalib’s (R) group killed Nehiak bin Mirdas Al Aslami who came as his rival. Before he was killed after a long struggle, he recited the testimony of faith . But Usamah (R) did not consider it, thinking that it may be hia trick to escape. However, when Prophet ﷺ came to know this , asked Usamah whether he had opened his heart . Holy Prophet ﷺ described the seriousness of Usamah’s (R) action.

Usama (R) hadn’t thought much about the seriousness of his action. Holy Prophet ﷺ considered the matter seriously and gave compensation to the family of the slain .
Holy Prophet ﷺ hasn’t shown here a partisanship. Rather, Prophet ﷺ was teaching how great is the importance of testimony and the fundamental belief necessary for the salvation of the both world . This incident also reminds us of the consideration that everyone should give to a person’s words and statements. Prophet ﷺ was telling the world in a very specific way that we should not compel others to accept our belief.

Muhammad bin Salama (R) says. Information reached Holy Prophet ﷺ about the misfortune of Basheer Binu Sa’ad (R) and others. He called Zubair bin Awwam (R). A team was prepared. Those who attacked Basheer Bin Sa’ad (R) and others were targeted. 200 members were assigned with a flag. Ghalib bin Abdullah (R) also came forward from the province of Qadeed. Allah blessed them with success.

It was an important success in the history of diplomatic move. This diplomatic move succeeded in completely defeating the enemies and instilling in many people the conviction that confronting Islam and Prophet ﷺ would not be easy.

These events could mark the truth that the military movements from Madinah were to establish a noble idea and not to aim at the mere power of a nation or an army.

Mahabba Campaign Part-548

Twenty two
Military move to Mu’ata
In the month of Jama’dul Ula in the eighth year of Hijra, Prophet ﷺ appointed a group under the leadership of Zaid bin Haritha. Prophet ﷺ said while sending the team: If something happens to Zaaid, Ja’far bin Abi Talib should take the lead. If anything happens to him, Abdullah ibn Rawaha has to carry the flag. If he is killed, the group must find a leader and hand him over the flag . Success can be achieved through him. This was Holy Prophet’s ﷺ prophecy. This was a definite indication that the three men mentioned above might be martyred .
Uthman bin Mahal, a Vedic believer who was listening to this statement, said: If Abul Qasim is indeed the Messenger of Allah, then all those mentioned above may be killed. If the prophets of Israel had given such a warning when appointing their followers, all of them would have been killed. It was said about 100 members but the experience was that they all had to die. Accordingly, it is said that all those who are mentioned by this name may be killed.
After this conversation the Jews told Zaid bin Haritha. If your leader is a true Prophet, you will not come back here. Then Zaid bin Haritha said. Our Prophet ﷺ is a holy messenger who speaks only the truth.
Holy Prophet ﷺ prepared a white flag for them. Then he sent them on their way to Mu’atah.
We have read the expressions and references that need to be underlined. We read of a group that had no doubt about devoting their souls and bodies to the cause of Allah and His Messenger even when it is said that this is your last trip. Where we can see a system where a leader can speak so boldly to his followers. No other leader in history has ever talked about death so precisely. We read of such noble personalities who have come to the path of preaching whole heartedly without being bothered by any problems. This is where Islam stands firm in its faith.
It is on the support of such a belief that today a community stands upright and faces the arch enemies . At a time when all the centres where peace and tranquility are expected, are vetoed by the criminals of the world, the strength to stand upright and speak out the faith, the dignity not to compromise with injustice , and the strength to say if death comes today or tomorrow, let it be with pride. The name of such a power is ‘the firm faith within’.
It is the history of Holy Prophet ﷺ that when he established a glorious faith in a nation, he was able to survive the entire forts of darkness for a short period of time.

Mahabba Campaign Part-549

Holy Prophet ﷺ assigned a group of about 3000 members to Mu’tha. They were given a grand farewell from Madina. The farewell time of the three, who were very close to Prophet ﷺ for many reasons, was emotional. One of them was Zaid bin Haritha, who was the foster son of Holy Prophet ﷺ and lived with full freedom in the house of Holy Prophet ﷺ from his youth. He was the one who knew the greatness of Prophet ﷺ even before the declaration of prophethood . He was so close to the Prophet’s ﷺ life that he could not think of a single day or night without his presence. He was ready to set out in the way of Allah only in the realization that it was the way to get Prophet’s ﷺ presence in heaven. It was when such a message filled in the heart, that Zaid could part with Prophet ﷺ. The eyes of both of them were filled with tears as they greeted each other.
The second was Jafar bin Abi Talib who was with Prophet ﷺ in his youth. Jafar was taken care of by Holy Prophet ﷺ in return as Abu Talib, who had taken care of Prophet ﷺ since his childhood. In a sense, Jafar’s death gave Holy Prophet ﷺ the pain of saying goodbye to a beloved brother. The pain of such a longing could be overcome when the spiritual values and heavenly joys were expected.
The third was Abdullah ibn Rawaha, who was an ardent lover of Prophet ﷺ. Often his poems served as an ornament as well as defensive forts for Prophet ﷺ. The touching verses of poetry recited by Abdullah, always brought joy to Holy Prophet ﷺ. The lines sung by ibn Rawaha kept Prophet ﷺ and companions happy while traveling and performing arduous tasks. Holy Prophet ﷺ was very much missing the moments with his dear friend which presented many emotional moments. Abdullah ibn Rawaha approached Prophet ﷺ several times before the commencement of his journey. Kept looking at Holy Prophet ﷺ until disappeared from sight. Abdullah sung many beautiful poems even while leaving for Mu’tath.
Abdullah ibn Rawaha’s eyes became watery when he bade farewell to Holy Prophet ﷺ who embraced him. Cheeks turned reddish . Why are you crying now?. Those who nearby asked. He replied . It is not love for life in this world that makes me cry. Rather, the verses of Qur’an that I heard from Holy Prophet ﷺ that is hurting me now. He then remembered the 71st verse of the chapter, Maryam. The said verse contained the idea of a hurdle in the Hereafter. Hearing this, his companions prayed for his heavenly success. Even then he sang like this.

“I seek forgiveness from Allah.

Deep wound and martyrdom
And the power to confront the enemy with might

Tomorrow I will fall in Allah’s way

To enter paradise with all blessings ”

The verses of Abdullah bin Rawaha (R) were pouring out beautifully. At the last moments of bidding farewell, he praised Prophet ﷺ and said.
May Allah keep you stable as Allah kept Prophet Musa (A) in times of crisis. May Allah’s special help be to you . You are indeed the supreme messenger of Allah. What a loss to those who cannot follow you. I receive blessings from the greatest person in this world’ .
Holy Prophet ﷺ walked towards Saniyat al-Wada and sent away those who were going to Mu’ata. Some instructions were given: ‘Stand firm on the fighting ground In the way of Allah and in the name of Allah. You should not disturb those who live in monasteries as renunciates. Do not attack women and children. Do not trouble the elderly. Do not destroy farmland or cut down trees. Do not destroy houses’.

There is also like this in the report of Zaid bin Arqam (R). When you face your enemies, you should ask them to come to peace through three or four ways. If they are willing to accept peacefully, you should agree to it quickly. The benefits for the Muhajirs who migrated in the way of Allah should be given . If they overpower you in any way, then be content with the guarantee of Allah alone. Don’t wish bail out by anyone else. When the advice was finished, Abdullah asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), give me some advice that I can remember and follow. Then Prophet ﷺ said this. ‘Tomorrow you will reach a place where there are only a few people who worship Allah. There you worship Allah as much as you can. Give some more advice, O Prophets ﷺ. ‘Remember Allah as much as you can . That’s what helps you achieve your goals’.

Holy Prophet ﷺ is teaching how humane were the approaches should be in spite of inevitable preventive interventions.
